The Sun and the Moon
1989 The Sun and the Moon are two planetary forces or energies that relate to each other in a multitude of ways. There is a specific relationship which has to do with a loving cosmic interplay of forces that have certain effects on Earth. The Sun has always been revered as the life giver and the perceiver; the Moon has always been revered as the purifier and the receiver. Sun gives life by breath, Moon bestows life by giving form. It is all very complicated, describing about planetary energies and how they affect the solar system and all living in a simple way, without using terms which may confuse the inquisitive though not highly academic mind. Basic theosophy can be explained on many levels. Theosophy, the Divine Wisdom, relates to the evolutionary path and the evolution of souls who walk the Path. The Sun and the Moon are influencing the lives of all souls in the solar system and have done so exoterically and esoterically for millions of years. In religion, the Sun and the Moon have played the roles of the Father-Mother and Son to people who have sought to unravel the mystery of the universe and who have tried to find their roots, living as many do in the world of matter and wishing to merge/unite with a higher purpose, a higher self. The Sun, Helios, has shone upon the physical plane of Earth and its inhabitants like a benevolent Father who seeks to communicate with His children and embrace them in His all encompassing embrace, to show His never-ending love and tolerance of His often erring children. The Moon, Lunara, has shone upon the physical plane of Earth and its inhabitants like a loving patient Mother who seeks to educate Her children, embracing them in Her gentle arms, so showing Her never-ending fondness and hopefulness for Her often problematic children. Adored as Gods, worshipped as the principle of infinity, temples have been built and priests and priestesses dressed in flowing robes have prayed, knelt, entreated, sung and meditated to those two planets and therefore to their planetary Logos. But there is something behind these planets: a magnetism beyond human understanding, an attraction that is unexplainable if you did not know that the Sun and the Moon hide two other planets no more visible to the physical eyes, but still nevertheless there in the etheric. A long time ago other planets were visible and were looked upon as great Gods. They evolved to a higher existence and the Sun and the Moon took over their roles as Father and Mother to a population who sought answers by looking into the deep space for fulfilment of their purpose in life. The Sun hides the esoteric focus of Sirius: the Dog Star; the Moon hides the esoteric focus of Minerva: the Star of Wisdom. In the New Age, people who seriously seek the Wisdom, the Dragon Mother, will through the Lord Maitreya connect with the power of the Moon, Minerva, and balance and harmony will again govern the heart and mind for humanity. Peace shall rule the Earth and disease and decay no longer rule here. So speaketh I who am the Voice of the Universe. |
