The Path of Theosophy

The path of Theosophy, as understood in The Theosophical Fellowship, is a path which is progressing through a triple incarnation. The first incarnation saw the writing down of Theosophy, that is, the Divine Wisdom – Theo - sophia at basic and advanced levels. Thousands of books have been written about the principles of Theosophy to further the knowledge thereof to thousands of interested people. These books are the foundation stones upon which the Theosophical Society and The Theosophical Fellowship build their inner and outer manifestations.

In this, the second of the triple incarnation, the purposes are to simplify Theosophy so that millions may be taught, and to teach the group of humanity who respond to living a Theosophical life how to practice Theosophy and form a brother-sisterhood founded upon the Divine Principles of the Ancient Wisdom modified and modernised to accommodate the new humanity. 

The Theosophy that has been written by the great Theosophists belongs to the Doctrine of the Mind; the Maitreya Theosophy that is now being written belongs to the Doctrine of the Heart; and the two shall merge when the Music of the Heart will be composed in the third of the triple incarnation. For then, the time will be ready according to the well-prepared Plan. The plan of execution is very simple and very logical, which makes one at all times admire the Hierarchy for Their outstanding work within the framework of humanity.

It is important for all students of Theosophy, especially members of The Theosophical Fellowship, to read Theosophical books, study their contents, and discuss the studied words with fellow students if possible. For without a sound understanding of the principles of Theosophy, Maitreya Theosophy will not be understood.

No student of Theosophy should fail to read the Alice Bailey books, especially Initiation Human and Solar and The Reappearance of the Christ as the first ones to be studied. Remember, though, that discrimination should be used at all times when the knowledge is studied or received in lectures, talks, and so forth. No book is infallible, not even the Old and New Testaments. 

The day shall come when the wisdom is given from within via the soul and shall be understood from the soul. Then cosmic attunement and consciousness will be obtained, and no book knowledge can substitute for that. The student is then an initiate, and will discover that Theosophy is the wisdom of the universe and that everything true and good is Theosophy. The language spoken by the Hierarchy is Theosophy and the wisdom that all Masters possess is Theosophy.

The first teaching of Maitreya Theosophy is the knowledge of the prophecy of Maitreya’s coming as the Buddha of Earth in 500 years hence. The prophecy is the core of the revelation of the new world religion. It speaks of the next Cosmic Avatar, Maitreya, Who embodies in China to bring forth Himself as the Buddha Child Who unites all nations, all peoples within His loving Heart. His teaching shall unite Christianity and Buddhism in a higher and truer teaching. Many of the religions we know today will have disappeared by then or will disappear soon thereafter. The whole future life of Maitreya is slowly being revealed and shall in time be written down.

Maitreya Theosophy teaches how to apply Theosophy practically so that one’s life demonstrates one’s search for truth, honesty, and love in action. It is a teaching for people who wish to respond to the call of Maitreya, and wish to live in His world as Children of the Heart who walk the Way of the Heart to perfection of all human qualities and virtues.
