The Living Word of the Hierarchy written through Ananda Tara Shan 1992/1993 (book) The New Himalaya* October 1993 I dedicate this book to my benefactors, Helen Mary Laidlaw-Sawyer and Zachary Cort Casper, for without them Master's Plans would never have come to fruition. Thank you, everyone who has helped in the editing and publishing of this book, especially Mary Faeth Chenery, Asger Lorentsen and Ann Shael. To all Master's and my devoted students, this is the first book. May the words in this book awaken you to the Heart and to your soul's fulfillment. I send loving thoughts to my mother, Paula Sackren, and to my former husband, Joav de Murashkin, for always having believed in me. And to my husband, Pauli T. Pallesen, President of the Society for Maitreya Theosophy, whose constant support and love gives me the strength to work for Master, I am eternally grateful. May this book be worthy of You my Master, Lord Maitreya, and Your Hierarchy, and so bring the Children of the Heart to You. Ananda Tara Shan |

Preface Please study these Teachings of the Day, discuss them, ponder upon them, use them in your meditations. As you read them, become aware of how much Maitreya loves His children, for those children are striving to enter onto the Way of the Heart, some already walking the Way of the Heart. Such children who are becoming the new population on Earth reborn deserve the very best, the most sacred of writings, the holiest of Light and Presence to enrich their Souls and purify their personalities, for the meeting with the Lord Maitreya is inevitable. He comes first as the Presence of the Risen One through His Love, His Light, and His Word. Then He comes as the new Buddha of Earth in a physical garment of great beauty and purity, with the Wisdom of the Ages radiating through His glorious eyes. To you, His children, I send these words. Ananda Tara Shan 29 July 1992 Follow Me, for I Am the Path. The Risen One September 1992 Bless the Hierarchy for Its constant belief in us and Its constant support of us. The Masters will never leave us in the lurch, but are always there for us. Ananda 30 September 1992 God is Truth. Be therefore truthful in all, and God will shine His countenance upon you. Ananda 2 October 1992 You can no longer hesitate, but must respond to the call of Maitreya with all that you are. Give Him all and receive new birth, new life. Ananda 3 October 1992 I Am the Son of the universe. You are within My aura. You are within My body. You are within Me. Maitreya 7 October 1992 Find joy in every task. Find contentment in your dharma. This makes for a good life. Ananda 10 October 1992 Lo, I raise My hand, and see, the Heavenly Portals do open for the dove-hearted and the lion-hearted ones to see and to know that I Am the Power, the Love, the Law, the Light. Maitreya 14 October 1992 Lo, I spoke the Word, and see, the Heavenly Portal did open, and the vision of the new Earth was seen. I Myself, the Risen One, was seen holding the Earth Globe in My right hand, and burning love was felt by all. Such is My Love for you, humanity. Maitreya 15 October 1992 How can you walk the Path without courage, when the one you will meet on your way towards Maitreya is yourself, in hundreds of appearances and disguises? To face yourself demands the strongest courage, the strongest faith, the strongest steadfastness. Ananda 16 October 1992 Lo, I raised My eyes towards My Heavenly Father, and tears streamed down My cheeks, for in Him I saw the suffering children who die of starvation and thirst on this planet, children who had been given to My hand to keep and to cherish. And I lifted up My voice, and with the angels of God I cried, "Yes, Father, I shall do what You ask of Me. I sacrifice Myself again." Maitreya 20 October 1992 Suffering is an unavoidable result of a disciple walking the Path, but humour makes many experiences bearable. Never lose your connection to the inner wellspring of joy, for it will carry you through the water and fire of the pain and agony which always follow in Christ's footsteps. Let joy raise your consciousness past all suffering. Let the Risen One raise your cross to His infinite joy. Forget yourself, but never Him. Ananda 23 October 1992 Lean against God. Embrace the Son, and your grief and suffering shall melt away. Give yourself up in trust and in faith to the Heavenly Father-Mother, for in Them we find solace and comfort. Life on Earth is not easy for anyone. Earth is a school. Life is teaching the lessons necessary to leave the school. Ananda 30 October 1992 I will lead you through the tunnel of life and death and show you My Kingdom, which has not yet reached the physical plane. There is true love, brotherhood, and unity. Your choice is: you can go with Me, or without Me; but know that you can never not be with Me, for I am He – the Risen Christ – your eternal Father and Brother, Mother, Sister, and Holy Spirit. Maitreya 2 November 1992 Beloved Lord of Righteousness, today we let our thoughts dwell upon the suffering of Your children, and pray that our joy will give them joy. For in our finding You in our hearts, Jesus, a thousandfold joys have awakened within us. Jesus Christ, Jesus Buddha, You are more alive than ever! Ananda 3 November 1992 How wonderful, is it not, that we have food on the table every day, and that we have a roof over our heads and warmth in our mutual love for each other. Let us pray that all people will receive such an existence as we have. Ananda 4 November 1992 A light worker may suffer from the blues, but not for long, because it will disturb your work effort and your support of the community life. If you suffer too often, then you have something wrong going on in your inner or outer life. Correct it! Ananda 5 November 1992 When three people gather in My name, I Am there. When someone prays sincerely to God, I Am there. When someone sacrifices something of himself for a good cause, I Am with him. When someone protects his brother upon the Earth with his speech, with his actions, he is with Me. So I Am always there for everyone who wishes Me to be. Jesus 6 November 1992 Tread the Path of Pain with fortitude, and know that pain and suffering bring God's love upon you. To bear your suffering with joy and understanding bestows upon you immortality. You become a chalice with the sweetest smelling wine, the wine of immortality. Ananda 8 November 1992 Remember daily that you are not the little self, but truly your Soul and Spirit in action; and that your duty as a server of Christ Buddha is to do everything possible to know and to realise that your little self is but an expression of what you feel and think. Therefore, feel and think of God, and purify yourself. Become God's child. Ananda 10 November 1992 I constantly watch over you. I guard you against yourself, without which you would have no chance of survival. You live according to your will, humanity, but My Will keeps you until you can stand on your own feet. Then My Will nearly destroys you, so strong is My Love for you. And then you "die," and become My child. Logos 11 November 1992 There is a story to be told in everything that lives. For example, today, what is the wind telling us? It tells of a mighty being, Raphael the Archangel, Who gently heals Earth and humanity when the wind is soothing, and Who, with Michael, sends the Grail into action when the wind is strong and devouring, making the Grail absorb the evil that overflows the Earth. With the wind the angels are at work. Welcome them. Ananda 12 November 1992 From all sides of the mountain they came, they climbed; but of all who started, only one made it. Why, they asked? Why, he asked? Because the condition of his heart made him light and secure of feet and body. The love for Master spurred him on. His love made the difficult path an easy one. Ananda 13 November 1992 Be grateful for every day that brings joy with it, for there will be days of joy, and days of sorrow. On days of joy we thank God for the suffering that brings us closer to Him and to Christ Buddha. Do not take the gifts of God for granted, but be forever mindful of His Presence in all we are given, small and big. Then happiness will become a minor and less necessary emotion, and joy a major and more permanent one. Ananda 16 November 1992 Set your personality aside now, O Lanoo, for not doing so makes it too difficult for you to walk the Path. Devote yourself to the Cause. Make the Cause your personality life. Forget yourself, and better you shall live for Me. When you persist in living a life of self, you torment yourself, and thus prolong the suffering of self. Maitreya Gautama 17 November 1992 O Lanoo, why do you strive so much when your heart is not in the striving? First discover what is in your heart, then you shall strive towards your established goals. So we have taught all our chelas throughout the ages, using the Ancient Record as our source of Wisdom. From this source now comes a new downpouring to aid humanity in its present struggle towards a spiritual identity as well as a new physical reality. The Voice of Silence 19 November 1992 It is good to be a group of people working for the same cause. However, to will this working together is not sufficient. The aspirant must be willing to live by the rules and laws prescribed by the Master for those who will work for Him and His cause. Without following the discipline as it is shown and taught, you do not work for Maitreya in this most gracious cause. You may even work against Him. Have you true willingness in mind and heart to adhere to His Will? Then be truthful to yourself and to Him. Weak instruments weaken and destroy His mighty cause. First Ray Department 20 November 1992 When God speaks, listen carefully, for God says what has to be said only once. When God shows, look carefully, for God shows what must be shown only once. Then the Hierarchy steps in and speaks and shows in a multitude of ways. What God says and shows, will you hear? Will you see? The time has come for you, O Lanoo of the Way. The Voice of Silence 1 December 1992 There is a fine, narrow line between sanity and insanity. The friction in the inner bodies due to soul growth of a stronger order creates imbalance in the mind (when it is not the mind of a fourth initiate). The imbalance can cause destruction or just minor discomforts. It is up to the person and the person’s Soul, in accordance with his or her karmic and dharmic pattern, to cooperate with Spirit and to try to conquer his or her own destructive inner being. Otherwise, the negative thoughts and feelings will take over and the imbalance help the aspirant/disciple cross from the border of sanity into the land of insanity. Such a person is of no use to the Hierarchy. Unholy ambitions are the first step towards insanity. Ananda 2 December 1992 Do not judge anyone lest you shall be judged. Do not condemn anyone lest you shall be condemned. Only the judge who is anointed by Christ may, on behalf of Spirit, judge and condemn the actions of fellow brothers and sisters, for through him or her, Christ lays down the Law. People who are not judges should therefore refrain from judging, for in their ignorance they may judge unfairly and harm their brethren. A prophet is a judge, for in him or her the Will of God has taken over, and the Will is the Law. The Board of Justice |
3 December 1992
Remember Me in everything you experience, in everything you see and feel, in everything delightful as well as difficult. Remember Me in all your thoughts, in all your desires, and you can never do wrong or take a wrong turn in life. For this I promise you, let Me always come first with you, and I shall give you paradise. So I speaketh, your Brother and your Deliverer. So I have spoken always. So I will speak always. My Words are Law. My Body is Life. I Am Christ. Maitreya 4 December 1992 Life is not a life of chance but a life of carefully planned details. Take active part in life, and life will repay you with a thousand lessons learned and more to come. For life is never ending, no matter what level upon which it is lived. God gives this life that you live; receive it with gratefulness, and transform the knowledge that you learn through life into wisdom. Then you attract to you the Ancient of Days and His wise men and women, the Masters. If a life is not lived totally, it leaves an empty void in the auric emanation of a person. This void has to be filled at some time in the lifespan of the person, but because the past life lived left a void, the lessons shall be harder and more suffering shall be lived through to gain what should have been gained at an earlier stage. Ananda 7 December 1992 What can we learn from the people of Thailand, who profess to revere the Buddha? Without inhibitions and with perfect faith in Him they go to the temples to worship Him, our mighty Lord of Wisdom. We must learn to revere, to adore, and to have perfect faith, first within our own temple; then to show our feelings, our faith, our respect, our adoration through our life efforts, our duties, our commitments and responsibilities, and to do so all twenty four hours, day and night. It is no use worshipping a statue if in our inner we keep separate, keep rigid, keep self. Find the Buddha in your heart and in your mind. Keep His Laws, live His Wisdom. Then and only then you can call yourself a Buddhist and Theosophist. Until then stay silent. Ananda 8 December 1992 Though you may not be able to stay faithful and true to your beloved ones, do not ever lose your faithfulness and truthfulness towards Master. Whatever may happen that you may for a time even lose faith in yourself and in your life, never lose faith in Master. For if you should do this, what is left for you? Those who lose God and Master lead empty lives which often lead to utter despair and suicidal endings. Without God and Master life has no value, no purpose. At all times rest your mind in God and in Master’s omnipresence, and faith, hope, and truth shall lead you safely back to Their Kingdom where you shall find forever all that you need and crave of warmth and sustenance. Ananda 9 December 1992 In solitude, the aspirant looks upon himself and discovers that he is replica of the universe. In solitude, the disciple uses this knowledge to assist himself and humanity upon their evolutionary journey home to the Father. In solitude, the initiate uses all the knowledge gained in thousands of lives to free his soul in order to become a conscious part of the universe. In solitude, the Master utters the sound that shall make Him an integral part of the Heart of the Universe. In solitude, the Christ voices the Word and becomes the Heart of the Universe. In solitude, the Buddha merges with the Sound and the Word and becomes the Mind Son of the Universe. In solitude, the Ancient of Days moves His Light within and without. The Lord of the World is the Light Born Son of the Logos. He is our Universe for us. Ananda 11 December 1992 It is an illusion that gold gives comfort and strength. Only belief in God and His-Her true children gives comfort and strength to overcome life's many hard lessons. If your heart is not full of God and Christ, you cannot go through life and bear what comes with hope, with steadfastness. Find God, and then be loyal to God, for loyalty is a priceless virtue that opens the doors to God's many mansions. If you have no loyalty towards the Hand of Spirit which feeds you, how can you ever hope to be released of your human burdens? Loyalty towards God, Master, and Teacher gives true comfort and strength. Ananda 14 December 1992 Many foolish and incorrect actions (according to the Law of Karma) derive from not using your ability as a thinking and reasoning person. If you spend some thought on the actions you are about to take and put your experiences as a human being to work for you, then you would avoid making so many mistakes, and surely would not take so many wrong turns in life. Be aware of the many unholy desires that you harbour within your desire body, for they help you to make many wrong moves in your life. Instead, if you put to good use your mind, and send a thought and prayer to your Lighted Brothers and Sisters (the Masters) Who have gone before you and Who now live to serve, to assist, and to teach you to walk the way of the righteous, then with certainty you shall make better decisions, that in themselves shall result in better actions. Trust in Those Who already have passed through the human kingdom and have through lessons well learned become Souls in flesh and in pure lighted garments. The choice is yours and yours only. Before you act, be thus silent for as long as it takes to make a good action through wise thinking. Involve the angels, the Masters, involve God in your decision making, and become a person others will look up to and respect. Ananda 17 December 1992 Do you remember, dear soul, when I upon the Mount of Zion showed you a future glimpse of the Avatar to come? Mankind had erred to the extent of causing great harm to the planet and causing greater harm if nothing was done to stop it. The Avatar was then called forth by the Hierarchy, Who listened to the few but strong voices of righteousness that clamoured for the Power and the Light to intervene. To begin with there was utter silence (like the calm before a storm); then the effects started to occur. For a time calamities and chaos governed all earthly conditions. Then came the Power of the Light as the Peace of Love. The Christ and Michael had won the battle. The Voice of Silence 18 December 1992 As the Lady Hope commented upon one day in the heavenly world, "There is so much hope in the world – why does humanity not know it?" "Because," replied the Lord of Holy Spirit, "only the light of heart respond to the constant downpouring of hope through Spirit. Only those with light in their heads and light in their hearts know that hope is God; and as they know God is filling them with Grace, therefore they are always filled with hope. They are the peace-makers. They are Mother's Hope. They are the New Earth." Ananda 21 December 1992 Even in utter darkness there is a glimmer of hope, of light. Seize it, and renew your attitude, your mind. Your life depends upon it. Start now, for it is never too late to do better. I Am there for you who have transformed self. Christ 22 December 1992 I met an old man in a market place which was bustling with a great variety of goods, sounds of joy, of laughter, voices of many dialects and many strange offers. He talked on many topics, of many places he had visited, of many events which had taken place in his life. He talked to anyone who wanted to hear. I stood there and listened for hours to his interesting tales, and one particularly absorbed my total attention. The old man said that on one of his many journeys he had encountered a man, simple of clothing, a monk who spoke to great crowds as well as to small groups. Whoever wanted to know was told. The old man continued: |
This man spoke of suffering that would stop if desires were controlled and then ceased to exist within the mind of men. He spoke of the little self and the power of the great Self. He spoke of the compassion needed to walk the Path. He spoke of Truth which would make free. He spoke of things unknown to me, yet to be understood, yet to come to pass. He spoke as if he knew me. He they called the Enlightened One, the Buddha. And He made all things new in me. He told of His Brother, the Buddha to be who would come. He was the Wisdom, His Brother the Love, and one day in another time they would come together. I remember how He suddenly looked at me, His eyes penetrating mine, and for a moment I whirled into cosmos with planets and stars passing by in a rush. I saw the origin of all things. I felt faint. I felt weightless and breathless. His eyes then left mine and I recovered. Dazed, I looked about me. No one had noticed anything. Forever I shall remember this moment when He, the Buddha, the beloved Teacher, looked into my soul and blessed me with the tree of knowledge. Who am I to receive such a wonder, I do not know. I only know that from that day many desires left me and I became a wanderer, a tale spinner with a purpose, for I decided to walk in His footsteps and so to bless in His Name His children of India with my tales. For 40 years I have wandered. News has recently reached me that the Enlightened One has left us in death of His earthly garment. Soon I too shall die and meet again the Great One. How I long for that day to come. |
So he spoke, the old man who, though old, had the most radiant eyes that I ever had seen. Through a coincidence, I heard some weeks later that he was no longer of the flesh. He had gone to meet his Teacher, and be with Him for many days before he would return again in the flesh. And when he came back, he came as Paul, the great disciple and apostle of the Christ. Ananda, from the Inner Annals 24 December 1992 Thank you, Lord and Lady Logos, that we may sit today at Your table and partake of Your abundance. We pray that all people on Earth shall be able to eat with You as we here eat with You, to celebrate the Christ Who again is born within our hearts. Ananda 25 December 1992 A CHRISTMAS TALE It was the holy night of Christmas. Christmas Eve night, the little girl was hardly visible in the big bed. She was coughing badly, her chest heaving for air in between coughs, rattling and frightening the mother who sat at her daughter's bedside watching how life was slowly seeping out of her little girl. The mother was praying that she would keep her girl, who was the only comfort in her dreary life. The father had left long ago, and her daughter was the light of her life, her hope of a better existence, with the love between them making up for all the things she could never afford to buy. Suddenly a glorious Light filled the room, and a voice of the Christmas Spirit said, "God, our Father - our Mother, has heard your prayer and grants you your wish. For ten years you shall be with your daughter. Bring her up loving God as you do. Then God will call you home. He needs you in heaven as an angel of mercy." The voice ceased, the silence was strong and potent. The girl breathed naturally. The mother knelt down. "Thank you, dear God, for this Christmas gift, the most precious ever." Ananda 26 December 1992 Let us say a prayer to the children who starve for want of food, and also for want of the Word. "Children who suffer, know that in Heaven the Father's Table is laden with all that you need. Partake of all that is upon Father's Table, and be thus fed by Spirit the way Joseph of Arimethea was fed by the Holy Grail when he was imprisoned without food (according to the legend). And may this Spirit feed you not only the food for survival but also the food for the soul, the Wisdom of the Ages: Theosophy, the living truth. Dear God, if these children must die, please let them die with hope and not suffer so much. And when we now enjoy our meal, we send this prayer forth. Be merciful, O Lord and Lady. Take good care of the children." Ananda 27 December 1992 With good spirits and humour you will overcome all obstacles that you or God have placed before you. With joy, the Soul descends, and so you can bear the suffering of earthly existence, supported by this joy. Make laughter your tool to walk the Path. Laugh even when it hurts. And lastly, love your suffering, for it brings you closer to God, Maitreya, and Mother. Ananda 28 December 1992 Discover Me in the image of yourself, for I Am there in your eyes, in your chest, in your arms, in your legs. Many try to find Me in matters where I Am not. Just go within and know Me through knowing yourself. I have decided to reveal My Nature to you, My children. Observe the Mother how She shall change, because I slowly take abode in Her. Come to know Me through Her. Master 29 December 1992 And the Lord Buddha looked upon His chelas with a stern look saying, "Never repeat any of My words unless you fully understand what you are saying, for if you just repeat My words, you are nothing but parrots who give emptiness instead of the fullness of My wisdom. To speak without knowing is to speak from an empty mind devoid of true light. To speak without understanding is to speak from an empty heart devoid of true light. If you will be My teachers, you must first take the time to know Me and to understand My message. Until you do, remain silent." Gautama Buddha 30 December 1992 And the Lord Buddha spoke, His face shining with joy, "When I was a boy, I was not allowed by My father to meet with any suffering, for My father was afraid that I would set into motion a chain of events that would take Me away from him and from my future earthly duties. However, the time came when My Brother Maitreya did set into motion a chain of events that brought Me back to Him and to God – the Logos. Now I Am a Soul, a Spirit that is one with all that is beautiful and right. "My Soul hungered for the enlightenment, having lived towards it for many a time. The Earth called My Soul, and the call enabled Me to persevere. I Am now free of all earthly chains. My Soul rejoices. The Earth is content. I Am now responsible for millions of souls to whom I have become the Eightfold Path, the Bodhi Tree that stands strong for all who shall succeed where I left off. They shall find Me: the Joy that knows no end!" Gautama Buddha 31 December 1992 To love goes beyond any other quality. Love holds the answers together. The Logos is pure Love, and everything He-She does is out of that Love. All creation is done through Love. Life must be lived through love of the Logos, loving one day all living beings, for they are an expression of God’s Love. In love, the angels work. In love, death takes you. In love, Spirit gives you the first breath. In love, the Master approaches you. In love, He gives you perfection. Begin to love. Ananda |
1 January 1993
And the Lord Buddha smiled as He looked down upon the little girl who had touched the hem of His robe with such reverence. He looked deep into her eyes and saw incarnation after incarnation in work for the Hierarchy into which He had just initiated her. He knew of many deaths she would suffer to spread the Wisdom and the Light in each country she would embody in, until three souls for whom He had the highest regard* would come together in a future life to bring His wisdom to the West under the name of Theosophy. Ananda *His wife Yasodhara as H.P. Blavatsky, His son Rahula as H.S. Olcott, and the little girl as Annie Besant. 3 January 1993 1. Your lotus flower will not blossom unless your rose garden is cared for. 2. Your sacral chakra will not purify until the throat chakra and third eye are stimulated by Divine Spirit (kundalini in its finest vibration). 3. You have cosmic consciousness when the fourth eye is open and functioning. Do you understand the first and the third sentence? Ananda 7 January 1993 What is the difference between blind obedience and obedience? Blind obedience is obedience without thinking of the consequences of your actions. Obedience is acting with trust and confidence because you act according to the Law. Your thought processes are involved. You obey because you know this is right for you. You obey God and the Teacher for you have chosen to do this. You obey because you know that doing this brings you closer to God. Ananda 11 January 1993 Listen to the heart and it will tell you the truth that you seek. Listen to the mind and it may inform you falsely. But is it the truth that you seek, O chela, or is it in reality illusion you still seek? I have heard so many words spoken, and they often contain the glamours of your inner. Now I prefer that your heart speaks in silence to me, for those words speak the truth of your intentions and your expectations; and following those, we can work it out together. Ananda 13 January 1993 One day two men met the hermit from the forest. They had heard of his wisdom from many people. They stopped him and asked a question, "Do you know God?" "Yes," he replied. "Is it true that God is good?" "Yes," he said. "Is it true that God is truth and justice?" "Yes," he said, smiling. "Is it true that God knows all and sees all?" "Yes," he replied, this time on a solemn note. "But how is it that you know so much about God, and we know so little?" "Because," replied the hermit, "I Am God." And with a beatific look upon his face, he disappeared before their eyes, leaving them in a state of wonder and upliftment. Ananda 14 January 1993 I sat at a feast, and Jesus sat there with us. He did not speak, but His eyes spoke volumes. He looked at the food and the angels sang. He looked at us one by one and thunder rolled in the distance. Just by Him being there, it was as if we were seated in a warm cocoon of love and light. His whole Presence was as if the Kingdom of God had already manifested on Earth. We were transported to a world of divine radiance, and one by one, we broke down and cried, for this night was the last night with our Lord. He moved not, nor uttered any words of comfort, but after a while He turned towards me and said, "What must happen to Me must one day happen to you." Before my eyes He became a globe of blinding light. My eyes closed, my heart burned. My grief was inconsolable. When I again opened my eyes, Jesus my Lord sat there calmly talking to all. Soon after that we broke the bread and partook of the wine. My heart filled with love. I saw Him glance at me with a smile hovering about His mouth. Peter the Rock 15 January 1993 A man can become a desert when he will not permit the Spirit of God to enter into him. A man can become a beautiful garden of sweet smelling flowers when he permits the Spirit of God to touch him. So many people have become deserts on this Earth. Maitreya has come to rectify this problem. He has the Power to awaken man to himself. He must use this Power lest Earth’s population shall destroy itself. Cooperate with Him, man of Earth, lest thou shall become extinct. Allow Maitreya to help you. The Earth as a planet can easily do without its population, but can its population do without the Earth? Earth depends upon the living, not the "dead". Ananda 18 January 1993 The Law of Forgiveness must be understood and then invoked in every situation where the shadow self has made chaos and destruction. It is through that Law that you learn to laugh, to be gentle, to be just, to feel the heart, to know the Self as well as the self, and to act with wisdom learned from making numerous mistakes. Invoke the Law and become Master of your own destiny. Do it this way: |
Law of Forgiveness – Mercy of God, I have erred. I have learned my lesson. Descend into ... [the problem], and neutralise the negative substance created by my action/s, replacing it with the loving Light of Tara the White.

19 January 1993
Have patience: everything will turn out in the best possible way if you let Spirit work for you in peace and serenity. Spirit knows your karma. It knows when to step into your life giving you what you wish for, and what your Soul wishes for its expression. Spirit works according to the Law. It is a rhythmic working out of lessons earthly and divine. When you have wished for something that is beneficial for you and your environment, Spirit knows and directs from Its level of existence the manifestation of what you wish for. Therefore, do not wish for anything else but what can benefit you and your group of soul friends, for if the wish is not unselfish and good, the manifestation of it may cause grievous harm to many. Just think back in time and see how many times a wrong wish has become a destructive influence in your life. Ananda 20 January 1993 Laziness is an evil quality, for when cultivated it leads to death of spiritual growth and to decay of human existence. Perseverance and diligence, joyful labour and hard work are all qualities that pave the way to Master’s Heart. Those qualities, and then a good dose of Bhakti Yoga, lead the way to Paramartha Yoga – the yoga of the Ultimate Truth, the yoga that we perform to enable us to understand and to apply the Theosophical Principles practically, thus bringing us to the Feet of the Masters, where we have wished to come for so long. Ananda 21 January 1993 Be hospitable. Open your house to Christ’s children. Feed them and love them. Shower them with warmth and Maitreya’s Grace. Make every home a worthy abode for our Beloved Master. Let His warmth fill all hearts and His teaching all minds. Repay Him for all His deeds which have saved humanity from utter destruction. Aid Him that the Earth may remain and become inhabited by His flock – the Children of the Heart. Bless in His Name all you meet on your path. The merits that you earn will reward you with a life of purpose and good lives to come in which you serve the Light and only the Light. If your past bothers you, leave it behind without a thought or a backward glance. Your new life may well start today. Ananda 22 January 1993 In longing, the small boy looked at the temple which just today, standing as it did in radiant sunshine, was very much a centre of special activity, for today Buddha’s Birthday was to be celebrated. The boy had several friends who had been admitted to be trained as monks, but he who so dearly wanted it had been denied. His family was of the wrong caste. The boy looked with tears in his eyes and again wished fervently that he was taking part in the beautiful celebration of the Revered One with whom he had such an affinity. He had loved the Lord Buddha ever since the day when he had been told of Him and had in his heart surrendered unconditionally to Him and His teaching. From the Heavenly World, the Lord Buddha listened to the boy’s heart, and made him later a very special monk in the life where the boy was incarnated as Francis of Assisi. Ananda 24 January 1993 Contentment is a beautiful feeling of completeness and wholeness. But when it is so beautiful, why are we so often not content? What interferes with us being content with what we are and what we do with our lives? Answer 1 : Always wanting what we cannot get or may not have. Answer 2 : Having expectations which are often very unrealistic. Answer 3 : Trying to live up to our parents' or our own expectations which are founded upon the principles from the world of glamour. Being discontent creates much unhappiness and much pain. Free yourself of society’s wants and desires, hopes and ambitions, and be content. Ananda 25 January 1993 We take, but what do we give? The Law of Balance contains the Law of Giving and Receiving. A person of goodwill has somewhat learned that law. A disciple must live by the law, and knows that he or she must give and not wait to receive; that God alone administers the giving back. A disciple knows that in giving, he or she attracts the abundance of God’s grace, and that in receiving that grace, he or she develops true humility and true love. You must never keep a record of what you give, but give everything in the Spirit of Righteousness, knowing well that the Law will eventually return to you tenfold what you have given out. Living by the Law gives you protection to a certain extent and opens the door to God’s Kingdom. Ananda 26 January 1993 Do you want to know Maitreya? Then you must be honest in all things. The problem is that you may have been dishonest for so long that you no longer know how to be honest. Throughout your many lives, has honesty been one of your better qualities? Rarely? Often? Whatever your past, now it is time to be honest, for honesty leads to the Way of the Heart. Could you stand face to face with Master with dishonesty in your heart? No! Dishonesty smells dreadfully (astral smell). When you are a sensitive person, you will automatically avoid such persons who are dishonest. If you do that, what do you think Master does? Ponder upon this! Ananda 27 January 1993 Look towards God as a limitless Being that has no beginning or end, that Is Power, Love and Active Intelligence. That Power, that Love, that Active Intelligence work in you and through you. Neither have you any beginning or end, but a part of you has always been and shall always be. That is God within you. That part can never die, but lives forever in God’s rhythm. You must call that part of you into action. Then one day that part, which started as an atom within you, becomes a major part of you. You are then transfigured and immortal. A small God in your own right. An Adept of considerable light and wisdom. I know, for in my Soul, I Am That. Ananda 28 January 1993 I sit at the feet of the Master, and I see the world through His eyes. In His World there is no evil or decay, but the splendour of God present in all life. The plants and the trees have a special glow when His eyes are directed towards them. The sky luminous, and warm in radiation. There is a hum of life in the soil, a new vitality in the hills and in the mountains, where the wind is blowing special fragrances that envelop you when you look upon them. And whenever His eyes look at humanity, some of the etheric darkness is dissolved, replaced by the Light of the Caretaker. The world is another world seen through the eyes of Maitreya, and every person who so wills has a place in it. Wish that His eyes for a moment will rest upon you and make you experience His World. Ananda 29 January 1993 If something goes wrong, learn to improvise. Do not let yourself be bogged down by changing circumstances or human defects or failures, but use any such situation to show to yourself and others full control of situations arising from, for example, lack of communication or misunderstandings. On the physical plane it is too easy to give way to depression; become the master of matter by learning from situations that need all your experience and know-how. Never give in to despair, but use the Master's Light and teaching to overcome all obstacles. Conquer self. Ananda 31 January 1993 Your birthday is an important day, for it is your very special day of Grace if you deserve it, or your very special day of misery if that is what you deserve. Ananda |
1 February 1993 It is healthy to be happy. What, then, when our earthly sufferings become too much, and happiness gives way to sadness and at times despair? How to keep happy when times are tough, and karma, especially the negative karma, catches up with you? Have your consciousness fixed upon Master. See God reaching down and into you through Master. Ask for perseverance and courage to take what may come. And pray that you have some good friends, a good mother, father, husband, wife, on the physical level to help you. Ananda 2 February 1993 Some friends were standing together talking about this and that when they were joined by a crippled man who walked with a bad limp and carried a walking stick upon which he leaned heavily in order to stand. The men had been talking to each other in a jolly way, but became silent at the arrival of the crippled man. That man was in fact their friend, who in the Vietnam War had saved their lives by his heroic actions. But their guilt was so strong that they had difficulties associating with him, for whenever they saw him, they were reminded of their own guilt for having such good and healthy lives. They should not have worried so much, for in their friend there was no anger or resentment of his condition, nor any blame placed upon any of his friends. The crippled man was a man of great fortitude and of great inner tranquillity. He had always felt God in his life and was in his own right a happy and content man. His only sadness was his relationship with his friends, who always tried to avoid him, even though they lived in the same neighbourhood and in many ways could have helped him with many of his physical life problems. It was that day a special day. It was Good Friday, and everyone had been to church with families and friends. Not all the same church, but now as usual after church, meeting on this particular corner to say hello and exchange the usual trivialities. None of them saw the little boy who stood in the near vicinity of them, smiling as he watched their happy banter, sad as he watched their silence when the crippled man joined their company. The silence was causing obvious embarrassment among the group, all of whom individually showed signs of some emotional distress. The crippled man was the only one who continued to talk away as if he neither saw nor felt the change of atmosphere around him. The boy started slowly to walk towards the group, his face in deep concentration as he approached them. No one noticed him. But the closer he came, the more the group began to manifest changes both verbally as well as physically. The men looked more relaxed, and talk started to be free and flowing. The group moved closer around their crippled friend, and an energy of love and care was felt throughout. After a few minutes, everyone in the group had planned to meet with and help their needy friend in some way; and soon after, the group dispersed in a happy and carefree way, leaving the friend to walk home alone, his flat being only a block away. Alone, but with the knowledge of friends lost now regained, and in a wonderful mood, he turned to go home, feeling on top of the world, feeling blessed and content. As he turned, he saw the boy who had come to stand by his side. They looked at each other with a glimpse of mutual understanding and recognition. The boy stretched out his right arm towards the walking stick, saying, 'Give it to me, you have no further need of it.' He then took it, and with a smile on his lips, he turned around and walked away – not many metres off, disappearing into thin air, stick and all. The crippled man looked down and saw two good legs. He looked up and felt a burning sensation in his spinal cord. A blast of fire nearly took his breath away. He was healed of all complaints. He stretched and he moved and then he fell to the ground in tears. In his heart he prayed a prayer of thanksgiving to God, Who in His infinite Love and Mercy had sent the Spirit of Good Friday upon him and had made him whole again. His faith, his acceptance of his destiny, and his love for his friends had called God’s attention upon him. And God had sent His angel of holy Good Friday to aid him in his needs. He did repay God, for he himself became a healer of great repute. Ananda 3 February 1993 When one does not know one’s Higher Self and one’s Monad, it is difficult to know God. How, then, can we come to know God, say, if we are still not initiates, and we really do wish to know the Creator?
Learning and doing these things awakens God within you, and you feel Him-Her clearly, and thus come to know God and come to rely on God in all you do. Ananda 4 February 1993 Do not be afraid to love, even though love often causes suffering to the personality; for when you close off to love to avoid pain, you close off to God and Master and also to the most wonderful feelings and experiences. Throughout many lives we have loved and we have hated. Both qualities survive death. Let us decide to love and love only, for love gives life and hatred destroys life. Master loves unconditionally. One day you will come to love unconditionally, but not without trying and trying. I know, because I try my very best to love like Master loves. One day I shall succeed, and you shall succeed; then life has taught its lessons, and you are free. Ananda 7 February 1993 Good music is the voice of God, which tries to purify the heart and illumine the mind. Music is one of the best healers of disease, grief, unhappiness, mental disorders, and general depression. Listen to the music which helps you come to terms with life. Make music your daily companion into worlds unseen, unknown. Music opens the doors to the inner worlds. Good music opens the door to Christ's worlds; bad music, to worlds of darkness. Whereas good music has only positive effects of numerous kinds, bad music has vibrations which may lead to madness and suicide. Discriminate with the music that you listen to a lot, and use music to feel God within. Music that makes holy is, of course, unique. Ananda 8 February 1993 We regret so many actions that we have taken throughout the years – actions born out of ignorance and fear. But if we regret, why do we continue to make the same mistakes which many of the actions have proven to be? When will we learn to be more considerate of each other and think before we act? Remember that all actions taken, all words spoken, all thoughts thought are accounted for. Before you take any further actions, stop and think whether they will cause harm or do good, and then act. Then there will be fewer regrets and fewer tears. Ananda 10 February 1993 Loving you as I love you, I suffer the pain which My children bring upon Me. Loving you as I love you, I feel the fears that My children radiate unto Me. Loving you as I love you, I know that the "labour pain" that this Earth and you, My children, must suffer will be awesome; but will you bear it knowing that I Am suffering with you? I wish it could be different. I try to make matters easier for you, but the karma, the self-inflicted causes of your actions, must be understood by you before I can move it. As long as you keep repeating your errors, I can do little. Become alert! Maitreya 11 February 1993 Do you dream of being famous, rich, good, strong, powerful, and so forth? Do you dream just to dream, or do you want to accomplish something? Do you dream because life is so boring, or do you dream because you wish to create? Do you dream because you have given up on life, or do you dream because by dreaming you gain momentum? Whatever the reason for dreaming, make your dreams work for you. Dream that you are what you desire to be, and make the dream come true. With God's Power and Master's support, nothing is impossible. However, when your dream will come true, no one can tell. This life, the next? Live in the now, and do not worry about past or future. Live to know in cosmic attunement. Learn! Ananda 14 February 1993 It is easy to theorise, but very difficult to practise what you teach or what you are taught. Ananda 15 February 1993 GRACE Thank you, O Lord and Lady God, that we may eat from Your bountiful table. You feed us, You nourish us at all times, with Your Word, Your Spirit, and Your Food, physical and pure. God, good and loving, feed thus all Your children on Earth, and leave no child to starve or thirst, but create through Your Son a world abundant to all living here. Ananda 18 February 1993 I asked God what I could do for Him-Her. And God answered, "Laugh for Me." And I laughed, and God laughed with me. The oceans heaved, the mountains rumbled, the skies cried, and the Earth shook. We laughed and laughed, and fragrances that had never before smelled so wonderfully light and scented filled my nostrils, and the Earth was being healed. Slowly the process began in which the Earth was healed and mankind purified. God's Countenance shone upon the Earth; our mirth was boundless. Our laughter boomed in every world. When we stopped, the Earth had been reborn and the Son, Maitreya, freed and a Logos become. Ananda 19 February 1993 And God sang, and the gaseous substances formed into oceans on Earth. And God sang, and lo, life came into the oceans. And God sang, and lo, rivers became Earth's lifelines of etheric substance. And God sang, and so the rain flooded the Earth, and when the rain stopped, Earth was green and lush, below the waters and upon the surface. And God sang, and the Son walked into the Garden of Eden, and here He beheld the wonders of God to Whom He knelt and to Whom He promised to stay and do His-Her Works. And lo, He has kept His promise, for Maitreya is still here doing His Father's Business. Ananda 22 February 1993 I can only protect My children if they stay in My World. In order to enter into My World and stay there, all entrances to psychic worlds must be closed. Unless I allow a child of Mine access to psychic worlds through psychic work, no connection must be made. Only the pure of heart, only a specific number of cleansed vessels are safe in those worlds. The personal karma must allow this work to be performed, and most of My children are yet too impurified to work as psychics. If you do so uncalled, great harm may befall you and lessons be given you in several lives. I strive to protect you against the unseen, but much present, evil. See to it that you cooperate with Me on this issue, and life will be good. Maitreya 23 February 1993 A good relationship or marriage does not make up for lack of friendships. As important as it is to love and to be good friends with your partner, it is equally important to cultivate friendships. Good friends are a wonderful addition to a good life in Master's World, for sooner or later you will need them, and they will need you. In a good life, the best partner and the best friends make your life worth living. To be a group of like minded people who walk the path together is truly Aquarian. You assist and help each other, you are initiated together. You must look for each other in every life, and if friendship survives death, it is truly blessed. Make friends and lasting friendships. Ananda 24 February 1993 A part of you may say yes, a part of you may say no. This conflict destroys the aspirant, the disciple. What do you do when the constant conflict makes you ill, disturbed, paralysed in shock, numb, fearful, tearful, hopeless, and so forth? You seek the minister and you talk things over, using Theosophy as your tool and your common sense as your healing rod. Try to find your right livelihood, even though it means taking up a study. Your livelihood is your psychologist; it helps you remain in balance – balance between your earthly job and your divine. You have many lives ahead of you. Stop the pressure, stop! Find your point of equilibrium. Only initiates have to work under heavy pressure in order to prepare for higher initiations. You still have the choice to be a little slower in reaching the Heart. Ananda 25 February 1993 Only with Truth will you open the door to Maitreya's Heart and World. The more Truth you withhold from yourself and others, the more obstacles you place between yourself and Master. Time is short. I Am waiting for you to show Master and Me your true intentions. Still some decisions must be made. How much time do you think you have? Do you know that time is running out for the population on Earth? If not, look around you and observe the conditions in the world. Ananda, for the Avatar 26 February 1993 I walked along a path, and I discovered I was walking on a wrong path. I took a turn, and I discovered that I had taken a wrong turn. Bewildered, I looked about me. There was a sign. I walked towards that sign and turned where it said turn. Dear God, yet another path opened up to me, but I felt not the right one. "How do I get to Maitreya, I thought?" I felt low, and all was dark. And, lo, there He stood right before me. Smiling, He took me by the hand. He said, "You tried, you never gave up; and see, you have found Me, for on every path I may appear to help My children who seek Me. Only do be perseverant in all efforts. If you want Me, I shall find you." Ananda 28 February 1993 I was responsible for the first Awakening, for the first raising of higher consciousness on Earth in its population, millions of years ago. Again I Am responsible now, together with Maitreya, for the Great Awakening of man's hidden nature, the one that is about to commence. So thoroughly shall We go about this that not a soul shall be left on Earth unstirred by this event which shall take place over the next millennium. I Am Himalaya, the Lord of the Buddha-to-be |
1 March 1993 Do you listen to God? And when you listen, is it God you listen to or the Voice of Deceit? Do you know how many voices the Voice of Deceit utilises to throw you into confusion? Do you listen with discrimination, or with ambitions colouring every word you hear with your own desires? It takes time and patience to touch upon God's Radiance. You must deserve to be given the Living Word. How to deserve? Purify the heart. Ananda 2 March 1993 We constantly hear that love is the quality which will see us through all conditions of evil, of destruction, of danger, of difficulties. That is true. But why is it so difficult to love one's enemies? Even with the best of intentions the human psyche finds it nearly impossible to replace hatred with love when it feels threatened, disappointed, disillusioned, and badly treated. Christ says, "Love your neighbours, your enemies, everyone, as you love yourself, your beloved ones." Do you love yourself? Not many do. And when you love, how much do you love, and what kind of love is it? How do we learn to love and love unconditionally? The question of all ages. Intolerance kills love. Separatism destroys love; disloyalty and unfaithfulness destroy love. Learn to love God and Maitreya by opening your heart to love. Be kind, be understanding, be polite, be helpful, be happy; that creates love. Ananda 3 March 1993 Loyalty and faithfulness towards the Master, the Teacher, and the Teaching are necessary virtues. The person who has not learned these qualities/virtues to near perfection has no hope to enter onto the Path. Without these precious qualities, such a person, who in other lives may have exhibited them but does not do so in this present life, must withdraw from the Path and be an aspirant or disciple who in this life does not have what it takes to walk the Path. It is sad should this occur, but in my experience it occurs a lot these days. Return to your loyalty and faithfulness, O chela, for only thus will you meet Master. Ananda 4 March 1993 People ask, "How can we find God the Father?" I would answer, "become acquainted with the Son and the Holy Spirit-Mother and Grace." The Son is the Second Aspect of the Logos represented and radiated unto humanity by God's Great Sons, Gautama and Maitreya, Jesus, and others like Them. When you feel Their Compassion, Their Understanding of your plight and your suffering, and when you know Their Wisdom which teaches the Law to you, when you feel Them moving around in your mind and heart, then you come to know God through Their Presence. When you open up to the Holy Spirit Who is God the Mother and feel Her moving lovingly within you, then you will come to love Her, and through Her, the Father who is the Power and Creator in Son and Mother. If you really want to find God, then give yourself to the Son and the Mother, for They will bring you to God the Father. Ananda 5 March 1993 It is very difficult to feel Master's Presence when one is caught up in guilt and self-pity. Do not live your old personalities. Do not dwell upon old mistakes, for they have been made, nothing can change that. Instead, change the now. What have you learned from old mistakes? If you have learned something, then put that something to good use, let that something work for you. Decide not to let old guilt spoil this life. Master cannot penetrate the dark web of guilt, as long as you are hiding in the web feeling like a wounded animal, not wanting or daring to face the world, due to guilt and self-pity. Start afresh. Command yourself out of your past and into the present. Ananda 7 March 1993 I lay in utter silence and God spoke to me: "Are you willing to go to wherever I send you?" "Are you willing to do whatever I ask of you?" "Are you willing to forego all outer worldly temptation and lose your name and reputation out of love for Me?" "Are you willing to cooperate with My Son as you carry out My wishes?" "Are you willing to spend much time in the Great Silence to know Me as I know you?" The Initiate 8 March 1993 Walking the Path demands the utmost self-sacrifice and the utmost realism. You are either ready and prepared to give up your ordinary existence, which has been filled with self-gratification and constant living not by the Laws of God but by your desires and demands, or you must turn away from the Path and admit that your intentions are not good enough. You still have not lived physical life to the full. Your love for your Master, Christ Buddha, and your Teacher is not yet strong enough to see you safely walking the Path without falling into the abyss of your own making. As I cannot walk the Path for you, but can only advise and inform you about life on the Path, I must stand aside and let you do what you will, with love, gentleness, and hope in my heart that we will meet again another time. Ananda 10 March 1993 We must learn to appreciate the good and loving things in life. For example, in a world that has not much love in it, it has become nearly a miracle to have loving parents, who, on behalf of Spirit, are raising and educating their children with a true purpose and true love. We must learn to appreciate the small things in life. We must learn to appreciate every day of good health with joy and laughter, and we must be prepared and ready for the grief and sadness it is to "lose" a loving parent, a loving partner, a loving friend. For such is life that we must learn to take both joy and pain with a smile on our lips. We must believe in the Theosophy that has taught us that there is no death, only life to the ones who live with God. And so we as a matter of fact, as a reality, never lose love; but love is a magnet that shall attract us to embody with the same souls throughout time. Ananda 18 March 1993 There is no mountain too high or too steep to climb if I Am that Mountain. Jesus There is no heart too strenuous to reach into if that Heart is Maitreya's. Ananda There is no quality worth becoming more than love. No effort to transfigure self is too difficult to make when the end result is love. Ananda Because you do not see Me, you may think that I Am not here. Look and see that I Am here until the end of time and beyond. Christ What promises I have made I keep. My Love promises immortality. If you believe Me, then live forever. Christ Jesus For birthday children: Your birthday is an important day, and today it is yours. Have you looked into yourself to see what can be changed so to make a more beautiful self? Master 19 March 1993 Concerning prophesies and the present Judgement Day talk, remember that this life of yours is not the first and will not be your last. That whatever happens, it will not be the first time you live through Earth changes and the consequences of them. Hold your attention upon Our Lord the Christ and be forever safe and looked after. What happens when it happens will be an act of God. Humanity is still not waking up to the impending realities of the greenhouse effect, the wars, the rampant diseases, and the abuse of the reproductive force. The future changes on Earth will raise the consciousness of humanity. It is a much needed occurrence, for otherwise the Earth will soon be destroyed by the abuse and the ignorance of humanity. Ananda 23 March 1993 It is easy to be of service to the Lord Maitreya, for the Lord expects only that you serve Him with a burning desire to do good under the Law. If you dearly want to serve the Lord, discrimination must be learned, for a wrong word or sentence or speech may be all that is needed to destroy your service to the Lord. Commit yourself to a life in His service and find out for yourself what it means to you and everybody around you. Service to Him is not necessarily very exciting or glamorous, but a slow and often tedious work under hard conditions, personal and physical. The inner light, however, is growing, at first unnoticed, then more noticeably so. And the bonding is beautiful. Notice Him as you bond with Him. Notice the effect with realism, not with glamour or illusion. Tell me, do you now think it is worth it all? Ananda 26 March 1993 How do you get control of the shadow self which may be in more control of all your actions, feelings, and thoughts than you may be aware of? Every day, do three things out of love, and with love. In time, love will take over more actions, more feelings, more thoughts. In time, all you do is done with love. The shadow then has become totally transfigured and causes no more disturbance or imbalance. When does that time come? Do not worry, it will come, but unawares. In a time, in a day, in a moment when you have become love and nothing else fills your consciousness. That day comes to all – that is evolution. Do your three things. That makes a good start. Ananda 28 March 1993 We have heard for centuries the heralding from certain groups, sects, and individuals that the Earth would come to an end. Nothing much happened. We now herald great Earth changes and people think, "again!" However, we have come to an evolutionary end to greater development for millions upon millions of souls on this planet. These millions of souls must go to other planets to continue 'school'. How will they leave? By peaceful migration in between lives for some; for most, from Earth changes, unfortunately for them. Had the population on Earth shown a change in attitude, behaviour, and belief, it would not have been necessary to remove it through disease and cataclysmic action. God, we ask You to have mercy with those pure of heart, those of goodwill, with trust in You, for the horror of violent death will torment them throughout many lives to come. Lift them out just before the action will take them. We pray for this Great Mercy which only You, God, can show to the faithful children of Cosmos. We can no longer hide the facts, the reality of the present time. Truly the last time is here. We must prepare! Ananda 29 March 1993 I am going to be devoted to my teacher, you say. And then you think about teacher five minutes a day (if that much). Devotion is not a conscious action. It is an action of subconsciousness and superconsciousness. You cannot make yourself feel devotion, because you need to or have learned that it is proper concerning your relationship with your teacher. Devotion is a pure feeling from the solar plexus and/or heart chakra. Either it is there or it is not. Love feeds devotion, that and other beautiful virtues. If there is true devotion, it is a grace for the pupil who has such pure feelings towards the teacher. Devotion leads to understanding and love of God. If you are truly devoted towards your teacher, you have already opened up to God. A true teacher leads the pupil to God. The teacher is for Christ the way-shower, the illuminator, and so on. A true teacher knows his or her particular role to perform for his or her great teacher; and devotion towards the teacher opens the heart to Christ. Devotion is a necessary virtue, for without it the pupil becomes a wasteland unable to give or to receive love. Then the pupil is in fact no pupil, but only a person who searches for something not yet found. Ananda 30 March 1993 I often wonder at people's inability to live with each other in peace, to live with the Earth in peace. Modern society builds into all people a multitude of needs and desires which benefit not the individual, but the governments and certain businesses which enslave people by bringing them into more debt and more cravings by the day. You learn that to be happy you must have sufficient money so that you can enjoy life with all its advertised trappings. If you are different in this respect, you are called a weirdo, strange, or an alien. In order to gain the so-called good life and have more trappings than you can afford, or which are good for you, you start by behaving dishonestly and then slowly you alienate yourself from others. Wanting too much can and usually does make monsters out of persons who now only see life through the accumulation of possessions. Human values and belief in God disappear into the deep recesses of your mind. Talk is on money, power, and sex. All conscious moments are full of unlawful thoughts, how to get that money, that power, that sex – at the cost of your Soul, which must slowly withdraw to its own level, leaving the physical expression a cemented, decaying, often heartless mechanism in which no spirit moves. Such embodiments are many and are very difficult to clean up after. Extreme sacrifice is required. True repentance, tears and hardships are qualities and manifestations that come to colour such lives in which the Soul is trying to again gain entrance into its expression. Make this life a life of conscious back payments, so ensuring happiness with Master. I am with you in this. People who want only one thing in life and that is money, and who through their life philosophy bring other fellow beings to the brink of disaster, those I call devourers of souls. Ananda 31 March 1993 Let us continue with yesterday's subject. We were writing about devourers of souls: certain teachers, lecturers, and business people who talk about money as if it was the only thing worth living for. They may make money on their workshops and lectures, but seldomly do their pupils. It is a karmic matter whether a person has the dharma to be wealthy. A person will make money to show the Creator how he or she will spend it, how he or she will react and behave towards others when money comes. We have all tried to be rich; however, rarely did we manage the tests we were given in this respect. How did we spend it? In charity for our fellow beings? Hardly. In returning to God what was God's due? Seldomly. Money is a very difficult energy to administer. It often makes a person more greedy, more selfish. Feelings of more self-worth, more power over others, and bad attitudes towards fellow beings quickly take over all better feelings and the once held good wishes for others. How can we learn to have money and do right with it? Always put God first. Spend a good percentage (the amount depending on how much money you make) on worthy causes. Let yourself remain unchanged by it. Do not let yourself be possessed by it, but remain distanced from it, and be forever grateful if you have it, for in the right hands money can be used to further Christ's work on Earth. Ask for money to give to Christ and to help your children in their difficulties today. Ananda |
1 April 1993 Are you lonely, even in a world with billions of people? Why are you lonely? You have friends, you have family, you love your job, you care for the Teacher and for the cause. Is it because life is not turning out the way you had dreamed? Is it because you harbour many frustrations concerning your life of personality? Is it inhibited emotional life? Is it suppressed feelings and thoughts? Is it suppressed traumatic periods of your childhood and/or youth? Is it wishes and dreams that are unfulfilled? Hopes unfulfilled? Do you dislike your body, your mind? Are you revolted by your inner self? Is it too difficult working for the Lord Maitreya? Do you feel lost? Do you wish you could run a long way away from this, your chosen path? Do you miss the excitement of the ordinary world? Would you like to keep your glamours for a little while longer? Do you wish you could give way to some "good old" sexual actions and fantasies, and dare not, because of your chosen path? What is it that really bothers you? Go to God. He-She will help you. Ananda 6 April 1993 You do not truly know unless you live in the Self – the Atman. You do not truly know unless you know the Self – the Atman. Make the right effort to become the Self, for in becoming the Self you will "take Heaven by storm" and thus free yourself of rebirth. The wheel breaks, and there you stand: the five-pointed star of total liberation. What does it take? Sacrifice: forgetting the little self. Can you do this now or tomorrow? Perhaps never on this Earth. Ananda 7 April 1993 - The Easter Festival And so again we have come to the Aries Full Moon, strong and gracious in all its glory. Our Lord Maitreya renews nature yet again. The deva kingdom sends its healers, its builders, its small creators into nature to soothe it, to heal it, to enhance it. The angels of the Christed One envelop nature in their auric emanations of gold and white. Nature is aglow. It waits for the Risen One to descend His Radiance into it. This night is enchanted: the Christ is coming like a wind of tiny golden flames. His Love overwhelms us once more, and we sigh as the Blessings of Him are felt all over the thirsty planet. We stand still. We hardly breathe. We receive Him. We partake of Him. We are reborn as nature is reborn each year, by His Mercy. We stand still. We hardly breathe. We feel Him. He is so close. We bow our heads and become silent like the adoring creatures of nature which all look to Him as their Redeemer. Ananda 8 April 1993 Lord Maitreya came, saw, but did not conquer, for the people to whom He called did not respond. Now He has called to Earth souls from other places, and He has asked them to become His Children of the Heart on Earth, replacing the present population of aspirants and disciples who have shown the utmost unwillingness to live in Him. They also replace the people of goodwill who, after all, do not show sufficient goodwill when tested and tried. The few souls of the present Earth evolution who respond to His Call will become a part of the New Hierarchy that is forming itself in these days, though not becoming so until further into the Aquarian Age. Let us send out welcoming words to the souls who are now embodying upon the Earth, for with those we shall live here and work here for a long time. Welcome, dear souls, welcome to our planet! Ananda 10 April 1993 And in the dark it moved. It had rested for so long. Something awakened it. The prayers, the cries for help. God heard those, and He-She said, "I must respond. Who will I dispatch?" And He-She looked everywhere. There it was in the darkness of the cave, lying hidden and waiting. Who was He? The Force. The Being – the Last Kumara. And God said, "My Son, I Am in need of you." Kumara responded, "I Am waiting for Your command. For aeons I have prepared Myself for now. Where do you want to send Me?" "To Earth," replied God. The Hidden Kumara came as He was expected to; and in love of God, He now brings Earth forward through suffering to Peace. Ananda, writing from the Inner Annals 11 April 1993 There is an open space in the universe, said God. "Why not place a planet there," He-She thought. And God forwarded the Sound of Creation, and forth came the builders. The Great Architect sounded the Word, and the builders went to work. The angels gathered together. They fluttered their wings, and the planet took shape. I call in the Dhyanis, cried God; and Lo, Spirit made the planet live. Beautiful oceans, rivers and brooks, majestic mountains, delightful hills, wondrous landscapes appeared. And God said, "let there be inhabitants to enjoy all this." And beings from all over the universe volunteered. They arrived with joy and happy expectations to the planet which was Earth, and here they lived well and in peace until the laggards were allowed to embody. Now there were both evil and good on the planet – but soon only good will remain. Maitreya and the Avatar of Will have been given free hands. The Earth shall be redeemed. Ananda 20 April 1993 And the chela asked the Master, "Revered Master, why is it that though I love you so much, you seldom talk to me? I have so many things to tell you, and you very rarely have time for me." "Dear chela", answered the Master, smiling gently as He answered, "you are but one of millions of children I have to talk to each day. Know that I love each one of you equally much, and that though I may not talk to you physically, our hearts are in constant conversation, and My thoughts are in constant conveyance of the Wisdom to your inner." The chela realised that he had been selfish in wanting to take Master's time, and he said so as he knelt down in reverence to his Master, who again smiled as He blessed him. Ananda 21 April 1993 Right human relations means acting with harmlessness when associating with other people. This also means to act with honesty, integrity, and natural politeness simply because you care for people, and to try to show that it can be done the way Master would like it. Do not force yourself to come across as something you are not. Politeness does not mean cloying sweetness or artificial use of superlatives in your language. Right human relations is behaving nicely to all simply because you will not hurt them unnecessarily. If you need to state a truth, choose the right words with care, and say the truth with heart involved. When people feel heart is involved, they may not get insulted. Do not speak nastily to anyone, for that energy will return. If you are angry, show it; but do not become malicious or scream. Instead, control the anger, yet show how you feel. Do not let the anger take over and thereby say words you regret afterwards. You are not people’s teacher or self-imposed oracle of truth. If you are dissatisfied with something, it is not always your job to tell people off. Your truth may be your private opinion and nothing else; beware, therefore, before you impose your 'truth' to people as the ultimate truth. Life teaches. Sometimes it is better to let it teach unhindered by you. Think before you speak and act. That will save embarrassments and bad karma. Think this: everything I say and do is observed by God, and it all catches up with me. Ananda 23 April 1993 Be forever mindful that your heart is in all decision making. Then how could you ever decide wrongly? Ananda 26 April 1993 Why do so many accuse God and guru of their own defects and failings? Why is it so difficult to look at yourself in the light of Truth? Why is it so difficult to interpret your own reactions to consequences arising from your mind processes? Ponder upon these three questions. Ananda 28 April 1993 What is the foremost duty of a disciple? To regain as much disciple consciousness as possible in his or her physical embodiments, to thereby cooperate with the Hierarchy intelligently and wisely. If a disciple for many years or for a whole embodiment or embodiments is closed off from the Hierarchy on the physical level, there are specific reasons for this; and those reasons are known only to the initiates and Masters who are connected to the disciple in question. What could the reasons be?
29 April 1993 Your faith in Maitreya must be so strong that everything else fades into unimportance. The Avatar of Synthesis |
14 May 1993 Why is it that when Master speaks, you have such great difficulties hearing the wisdom of His words? Why do you try to escape your dharma, O chela, when it is your sacred duty to perform it? Why do you say yes to Master, and then when He puts before you His plan for you, you say no, no, and no? Is your love for Him so weak, so superficial? Why do you listen when you will not hear? Why do you say yes when you mean no? Do you consider yourself a true chela? Why? Do you know so little about Christ that you put your personal life before anything else? Before Him? Do you think that will take you to illumination and transformation? No, take it from me, you have a long way to go. Saddening, is it not? But a fact of life. You are not ready! Ananda, writing to the disciples of the Hierarchy 17 May 1993 There are many vices; one of them is ingratitude. Ingratitude is a destructive and degrading quality that becomes, if left to fester, a dreaded disease that eats away the mind and wastes the body over a short period as almost nothing else can do. It starts with never being grateful for any of God's gifts or life's lessons and surprises. The person hungers for all the things he or she cannot have, and often jealously makes its foul entrance. Whatever such a person may receive, it is never good enough. Always the hunger grows and grows out of proportion, leaving in its wake discontentment, depression, envy of others, apathy, and many such emotions and conditions. Instead of becoming an active cooperator with life, such persons may become chronic complainers and are often very difficult to get along with, for by this stage they consider life to deal only heavy blows, and never find joy in all the many simple or greater events life on Earth gives to its inhabitants. If you are such a person who does not intend to live with the gift of life, but constantly degrades it and yourself, there is very little Christ can do but wait for another embodiment. Ananda 18 May 1993 I have walked every path worth taking. I have walked every way there was. I have learned what the paths taught. I have learned that the Way of the Heart is the last way that I must walk to reach Maitreya and unite with my Soul and Spirit. I must unite Shamballa and Hierarchy and take them to humanity. For the Way of the Heart does not end with Maitreya. No, it continues through Him into Shamballa, to the Throne of the Queen and King. And even there it does not end, but continues through the dark space to sacred planets and stars where Hierarchies and Beings live in utter silence, in compliance with the Law of the Heart, and exist in such harmony that the Heart sings in them. Do you want, dear chela, to find that way to which I Am the entrance? Do you want, dear chela, to experience the universe as I know it and of which I Am part? Do you want, dear chela, to realise what I now have realised, that I Am That and will give freely of That to all? Then reach out for Me in every way you can. Do you want to know who so speaketh to you? I shall tell you. I Am the Last Kumara 19 May 1993 And the Lord Maitreya sang His special song, "Come to Me, sit at My feet, and see the universe through My eyes and know the Solar Logos through My heart. For 2000 years I have observed humanity, and My messengers have tried to reveal the true Christ nature. Now I reveal Myself as the Risen One, the new Lord of Earth, and the Power, the Love, and the Light of the Solar Logos for this solar system. Through My present vehicle, I shall give a new dispensation for My Children of the Heart. And a new revelation shall open your minds to the true teaching of the God you know as the Solar Logos. "So much has been kept back; for you were not ready to receive this knowledge which it takes a pure heart to understand. But a new time is beginning for a little group of humanity. And to this group I now say, Yes, I Am returned with all that I could not do or say 2000 years ago. "I Am ready, I now await the right time, the right conditions; then I shall appear before you as the Lord of the Sun become the Lord of Sirius, and Lo, you shall know the true nature of Christ and His Love for all. Be patient, I Am approaching." Maitreya 20 May 1993 Go within. Ananda 21 May 1993 I heard a tale one day about two men who had shared nearly the same kind of life pattern. But one had become very evil, while the other had become a philanthropist and a great good doer. How could this be? You may well ask, for many are still wondering about it. I shall explain. First I looked into the past lives of the two men and discovered that the evil man had been very selfish, self-centred and evil before this life. The other man had been both evil and good in lives before this one. The evil man had had no wish to change his ways. The other man had had a strong desire to walk the path of righteousness. Secondly, their upbringing by parents who were themselves fine and outstanding people in their own way of life had failed to teach the evil man anything, but the good man had learned sufficiently to pursue a worthy career with charity in his heart and mind. They were both given similar life patterns with great opportunities to choose good and beneficial lives, but the evil man continued his former life patterns, this time becoming even more malicious and mean in his life with others. The other man chose to walk through life helping others in all the ways he knew how to, and his deeds blessed him, and light became his wayshower. One day their paths crossed. They met because of mutual business deals. They faced each other across a conference table and looked each other in the eyes. No one talked for a moment. The evil man eyed his visitor with calculating eyes full of sly machinations; the other man eyed the business man in front of him with a smile on his lips and with heart in his eyes. They could not make a deal, they could not meet on any level. They took their leave of each other with regret, the evil one angry at having lost a deal which would have made him a lot of money, the philanthropist sad that there had been no entrance into the heart of the other man and thus something which could have benefited so many people would never be. The good man walked down the street thinking with joy of the numerous deeds through which he had helped so many thereby, living a life of charity and satisfaction of self, when he heard the sirens of an ambulance approaching fast. He looked back and saw it stop at the entrance to the building he had just left. That was the last thing he saw, for he collapsed on the footpath, dying of a heart attack. He never saw the stretcher with the evil man, dead of a heart attack, being taken in the ambulance to the hospital. On that day, at that hour, their incarnations had come to an end. The evil man returned to a certain astral level upon which he daily receives instruction by the good man, a group dual of his, in order to learn something of God's Love, for the next life. With compassion, Christ tried one more time to save this soul. It would be the last try on this Earth. Ananda The story shows that Christ's mercy is endless, that the past does influence a person very much, and that free will gives you the opportunity to choose evil or good as your life's goal and purpose. Not even love can change a person for the better when he does not want love. Many people cannot receive love and have little or no love to give. This is very sad, but a fact. To open up to love means that you must also commit yourself to love and be happy to let the love transform your inner. This scares many people. They prefer to hate or not feel anything, for they are used to that condition from many lifetimes. 27 May 1993 The Master asked the chela a question, "What makes you most content with your life?" The chela thought for some time before replying. "I have had many needs, but studying under You has taught me that all needs but one are unnecessary. I have let all my needs leave my expectations of what a good life is or was for me except for one. Now I only need one thing: to be in Your holy Presence and find that presence in my own self. I am content with the knowledge that it might take me many lives to find it, but I am at peace with myself knowing that one day I shall be like You, Master." The Master smiled and left the chela with the words, "What you shall become, you already are." Ananda 28 May 1993 I knew it was too late. The light was waning and dark clouds were gathering upon the horizon, looking gloomy and threatening. The waters were beginning to seethe and boil, rising and foaming. Fear was great and growing in the entire country. The temples filled with praying people, some of whom had never prayed before. Violence was increasing. The sun became blood red, and the heavens turned dark and muddy. Such was the time before it happened in the last days, just before the Earth started to heave and nature in its death dance called the angels home. I was there. I saw it and the ships of light in the distance. I found myself changing places from the chaos and despair that arose to a place of peace and tranquillity. The ship had taken me into its warmth. But on Earth, calamities struck, and I heard the cry of people below. Never again, I thought, but now I experience again the beginning of such a time. God, is there nothing we can do? The fear is growing. The cry is beginning. Humanity, think before it is too late for you. Ananda, from the Atlantean Record |
16 June 1993 A danger in spiritual work is pathological self-centredness, and many students and seekers of the divine suffer from that affliction. Why do so many suffer from this painful condition? Because of selfishness and a lack of the ability to look upon oneself with humour, maturity, and wholesomeness. There is a constant need for attention to self and for doing very little to help a suffering humanity, for the main focus in life is oneself. Such a person often possesses a contorted mind. The attitude towards spiritual growth then becomes contorted. The principles of the Divine Wisdom are often interpreted incorrectly, due to interpreting them through a contorted mind and an auric emanation of often frustrated and angry thoughts and feelings. To walk the Path the opposite qualities are needed, such as forgetfulness of self, sacrifice of self, and true caring. The mind then becomes a purified vehicle, and the auric emanations describe uplifted and balanced thoughts and feelings, which will enable the person to interpret with great understanding the Divine Principles, and, furthermore, happily practise them. Ananda 18 June 1993 Why is it that although the students of the Divine Wisdom may know the Law, they consciously transgress the Law? Why does it take so long for most students of the Divine Wisdom to admit to themselves the resistance they harbour within against the Law? What is it about the Law that makes most students of the Divine Wisdom so angry, so rebellious, so hardened? The Law comes from the Will of God. It dictates the way we should live when we are citizens of the Universe. It teaches the Soul about its evolution. It illumines the lower self about how to become a perfected Self. It is the Wayshower showing the student of the Divine Wisdom how to live with God as Will, as Love, and as Light, harmoniously learning to fulfil God's desire to make every Soul a God of Light. There has never been a Master of Wisdom who was not also the Law, for a Master is a Lord or a Lady Who is one with the Law, executing it to perfection. At what stage does a student of the Divine Wisdom become a disciple who will live by the Law? That differs, but definitely at the fourth major initiation. Why does it take so long to reach this stage? That explanation I will give you in a following teaching of the day. Ananda 20 June 1993 Until the disciple truly learns and experiences that God Is Love and that the Soul contains a spark of that Divine Essence which is the Spirit of holiness, goodness, and beauty of God from Whom come higher life and intuition, the disciple will not live wholly within the Law. The Law is only fully understood when love blossoms in the heart, and mind is purified from practising the Living Word. Then the understanding of the Law unfolds, and with that understanding comes about oneness with God. At the fourth initiation, oneness with God is a reality experienced both through the consciousness of the lower self and the Higher Self. Before then the aspirant, the probationary, and the disciple sometimes will be struggling to live correctly and sometimes will be failing to do so. Until the Will to do good is joined with that of the decision to reach the perfection of the Soul, no true effort will be made to live the Law, nor will the understanding be sufficiently deep to embrace the Law in all its entirety. We must take into account that matters do differ from individual to individual, and so it may be seen that some seem to learn the lessons of life more rapidly than others. We may see even a non-disciple living by the Law, as much as the Law is understood by him or her, while many disciples still have too much 'personality' to be willing to surrender to the Law. Consequently, they do not follow the precepts of the Law adequately to perfect the soul, therefore needing more lives than might have been necessary to complete the education and the development of the soul. Earth is a most difficult planet and a very formidable and demanding school to embody on and study in. It offers more temptations than many other planets in the universe. Even older and more experienced souls tend to fail God when they embody here. To succeed on planet Earth will create an outstanding initiate and a unique Master whose Soul contains numerous well learned lessons. These may be seen in the vehicle of the causal body, as this body displays the most beautiful and pure brilliance of hues and colours, which to the Soul clairvoyant show the lessons learned and the lessons still not learned, the latter ones few in an initiate of the fourth initiation. In physical life, for as long as one does not possess Soul consciousness, whoever one may be, one is not infallible. If people would comprehend this fact there would be fewer disillusionments and disappointments. A Master of Wisdom, the Adept, should He or She appear before a disciple, is infallible, for a Master is no longer part of the physical world and has Soul and Spirit consciousness, and therefore has become the Law in all its manifestations. Ananda 21 June 1993 Whoever touches Me, touches the Altar of the Earth from which the Ark of the Covenant has been made, upon and at which God's priesthood has forever worshipped. So it is that what was in the beginning shall continue to pass until the end of time which is only another beginning. What has passed once and many times shall come to pass once more, and the Light that moves within that Altar shall come to embrace and give Life to a new planet Earth, sacred where the other one was not, sparkling where the other was dim; beautiful where the other one was but glamour of the moment; and so light of texture that the feet of angels may be heard as nature is purified by the crystal clear waters and the humming fire. Once I was but a soul - now I Am the Altar of the Earth at which Christ's own brothers and sisters come to adore Him Who is the blood within the Grail and forever shall remain so; and when you look closely into the ever shining, ever moving surface of the Altar, the Lamb of God is seen in all His suffering and all His poverty and in all the charity this Earth possesses; and if you look even closer into that forever shining and forever moving Altar you shall see that the hands and arms that hold the Lamb of God is Me the Lady Yasodhara. You have heard the words of the Mother. Now hear the words of the Father: Aeons ago I created and I gave birth to the Son Who became on Earth, Christ, the Lamb of God. I created Him in My own image and the souls I created thereafter I created in that image, for I loved Him. I loved My Son so much that I wished to see Him in every soul. I loved My Son so much that for millions of years I kept Him by My side, watching Him develop and grow into a being of most pure light Who possessed a heart which brilliantly lit up My world; and Who when He spoke was the music of the spheres Who inspired all creations made by Me thereafter. But I knew the day would come when My Son must take His leave of Me, and as the sacrificial Lamb of Myself, descend into worlds of matter to walk in those worlds as a spark of Myself, being to those worlds the Son Who I adored, knowing that what He would go through would bring Earth's humanity to Me, to the Father Who is and was and will always be the creator of their innermost selves. I observed what My Son was put through to bring them back to Me; I saw His resolve, His one-pointedness. I saw Him resign Himself to His fate with stoicism, knowing that all He did, He did for Me and out of love for Me. For His works I have made Him the Spirit of the Earth, the Solar Logos to be, and I love Him even more and through Him all My children Who I have created in His image. This is My Son from Whose mind and heart shall birth be given to stars and planets, to hierarchies that shall be built upon His seeds and His blood, that all that lives shall come from Him Who has pleased Me for so long that I Am now content to rest in His shadow where I find the absolute presence of My good and all loving Son. Michael, for the Logos 22 June 1993 To Moses the Law was written on stone tablets; in the Age of Maitreya the Law shall be written in blood. Lovingly every Word shall manifest out of the air (the Akashic Record), and be given to a humanity that has waited for a whole age to receive God's Words again. No more tablets that can be broken in anger, but in blood that forever flows from the Lamb of God to a mother's heart shall the Law reach those of humanity who now await it with breath bated and hearts prepared. I remove the cloying fog that has dimmed humanity's mind and so removed humanity from the Law. Through the mist of time the Son again appears. Born through the altar of Avalon, the waterbearer makes Himself seen and His impending actions known. As He promised so long ago to His waiting flock, to whom He shall always be the shepherd, He is approaching, descending from house to house of Father's many mansions, soon to stand on Earth physical, as once before He stood arrayed in Christ's radiant garment. Await Him now, Jesus, Our Lord. Ananda, for the Avatar of Synthesis 24 June 1993 Do you realise how much past and present life traumas are affecting you in this, your present life? Do you realise how much past personalities are affecting you in this, your present life? Now that you do, what do you intend to do about it? My advice is to take action immediately. Because excess guilt and unforgiving attitudes towards self are qualities that affect you greatly, those must be given the Light of the Holy Spirit through prayer, meditation, therapy, studies of the Divine Wisdom, and studies of psychology, exoteric and esoteric. Learn to face yourself honestly and truthfully, not withholding the correct information from yourself. Analyse yourself with a balanced attitude; and then apply what you see and come to know about yourself with gratitude and wisdom, in so doing, helping yourself towards healing self from both within and without. Did you think it was easy to do away with traumas and past personalities? It may take lives, but the life in which you start doing something constructive about it is very important, for in that life, with the right tools, you can work yourself through most of it. However, it takes courage and one-pointed effort to succeed. This prayer may be used: 'Most Holy Spirit, which for God permeates all my dark, hidden, and suppressed feelings and thoughts from my past lives and from my present life, touch me and heal me, release me and give me peace from shadows of the past and the present. Teach me how to forgive myself for errors committed out of ignorance. Let me face my shame and my guilt with strength and courage, and so protect me from influences that I cannot control. In gratefulness, I shall offer my undying loyalty and devotion to you, Holy Spirit, and shall open my heart to you in joy and song, that you may enter into my heart and do with it what you want.' |
As a part of doing the Basic Exercise* or any other meditation, invoke your Higher Self, and ask it to have the Law of Forgiveness act on your behalf. See the Light, rose and violet, come down from the Higher Self and enter into your past and present traumas; and see the Light redeem past personalities so that they may only affect you in a positive way.
In therapy, work out guilt and self-hatred. This may be done via guided imagery and other therapies. In studies of the Divine Wisdom, try to understand the evolution of the soul and the Law of Karma. Study Scott Peck's books – The Road Less Travelled, for example – and other valuable books, to understand self from a psychological point of view. Read The Experience of Inner Healing by Ruth Carter Stapleton. Study books which enable you to become a wise person, a citizen of the world; and from the accumulated knowledge, become a loving and caring person who from knowledge of self becomes a tolerant and non-judgemental human being. Ananda * 'The Basic Exercise' is the original name of the practice now called the ‘Flame Meditation’. 26 June 1993 You are only one step away from utter misery or the utmost contentment. Think before you take that step. The Avatar For a moment let Me stand in Father's place and bring you to the unfoldment of His Will for you. Know thereby that His Will has never changed, but has been in the beginning as it will be in the end always the same. God's Will is at all times changeless and unalterable. It is constant as is His-Her own Presence in the universe. God is the solid rock in whom your trust and confidence will never be destroyed. You can only fail God if you persist in remaining evil; then you will, after a long period, die the second death. Humanity is in grave danger. Too many have started upon the way towards the second death. The Avatar In all glory, there is agony. In all ecstasy, there is pain. In all joy, there is grief. In all love, there is heartache. In all charity, there is bitterness. In all faith, there is torment. But that is the way it has to be, for in all things the balance must work out; and so we have to know there is nothing really perfect but God, Who is the middle path, the balance of all and everything. Belief in God, faith in God, oneness with God will lead you to the perfect middle path, and one day you shall become the consciousness of that path and yourself become the Path. Then you are God consciousness, and may truly call yourself, Son and Daughter of God. Ananda 27 June 1993 We must unashamedly ask to be healed, for we are undergoing a strenuous process, which to be successful, needs a lot of healing. "Healer, heal thyself", teaches us to work on an inner healing by constantly invoking the aid of the Holy Spirit. We must learn to open up our minds and hearts, and thus become sensitive to the Voice of Silence that is our Soul voice. This can only be done with the invocation of the Holy Spirit and the Light of Christ, often and with great sincerity. Students of the esoterica must learn to cooperate with the Higher Self, and do so by surrendering to God's Love which will be attracted to them by their daily deeds and contemplation. To ask, even every day, to be healed sufficiently to be able to work for Christ is acceptable. The healing given by the Divine Lord and Lady, our Creator, will be directed according to personal karma and by the way the person receives and repays. The art of receiving. The art of repaying. Everything must be learned to perfection. You may think that it is easy to receive God's Love and be healed by it. No, it is in fact most difficult. For guilt and other negative emotions put up barriers that fight off the healing energies. Likewise it is for many people very difficult to give, to repay to God what God must have in order for the balance to be perfect. It is a great shame that so many people who call themselves students of the divine are so ignorant of God's most basic laws and show no real effort in wanting to know them either. Without learning to live by the laws, there is no real advancement on the way of Soul development, and for certain, full stop on the Path, should the disciple suddenly forget the Law. (This unfortunately happens too often these days) To make a long stay short: Heal thyself – live by the Law. Ananda |
1 July 1993 Gratefulness. Each day stop to ponder, contemplate, and consider how much Spirit influences and supports you daily. Do you do this? Do you send a small thought or prayer to God Who Is Holy Spirit, to thank God for His-Her constant divine intervention in your life? Do you feel grateful? Or are you a person who takes everything for granted because you think you are owed everything good that comes your way? When I come to think about it, do you think about God only when you are in need? Or do you think about God because He-She is very important in your life? Before falling asleep at night, think with love about God and the Sons and Daughters Who act for God in teaching you to become a Son or a Daughter. Gratefulness is a major step towards that. May I be of assistance to you in that step taken. Ananda 2 July 1993 For a moment let Me draw away the veil of forgetfulness. Do you then remember when I approached the gates of Jerusalem, with a feeling of ecstasy in My breast and a smile on My lips? I thought even then that the good citizens of Jerusalem wanted the Father as much as I did and would come to feel for Him as I felt. But the following days showed Me differently. I brought the Father, but He was not wanted by the multitudes. Only very few took Him in. Again I enter through "the gates of Jerusalem". This time I bring the Mother and the Daughter. Humanity, will you accept Them? I thought you would. Now I have My doubts. If not, another humanity who will shall take your place, and soon, for the end of time has come. The Mother shall purify, the Daughter shall bring the Light of Maitreya. And I, I Am always with you, as I have been from the beginning of time and shall be to the end of time. Will you take Me in? Jesus 5 July 1993 The mind tricks you into believing that you are the mind. You are not. You are the Soul acting for the Spirit. Because the body and the self desire materially so much and so constantly, you think you are the body and the self. You are not. You are the Soul – the Higher Self – desireless in its actions for the Spirit. Ananda 6 July 1993 Everywhere there was the noise of many activities and the laughter of children. The birds were singing in the trees. The chela sat at his Master's feet, and there everything was silent. No noise penetrated the silence, not even the birds could be heard. The Master was meditating. The chela looked up at his Master, happily listening to the silence. Then the Master looked about Him, noticing all the activities that were happening around Him, and He said, "I have been with My Master who told Me to notice all the activities in My ashram when I returned there. I am noticing all with fresh eyes and My heart warm from being with My Master in His Ashram. I see every one of My children at work – cooking, cleaning, caring for the small ones, studying and meditating. I see their next embodiments, the difficulties they shall encounter outside of an ashram learning to live up to their teaching and the principles they bring with them from this life." The chela asked the Master, "And what do you see as happening to Your children in their next embodiments, Master?" And the Master cried while He answered His chela, "O Lanoo, I see in one by one a collapsing of values learned, a forgetting of promises made, an ignorance growing due to desires and fears. So little I have imparted to them, so much has been forgotten." The chela asked the Master, "And how do you see me in my next embodiment, Master?" The Master looked into the Soul of His chela and saw something that made Him smile, "I see that through you I shall come alive, for you shall carry Me with you and become a divine instrument of Myself. What I have taught continues to live in you, and what I have failed in doing, you shall succeed in doing. And while I rest in the after now, you shall prepare for My next embodiment in which I shall return as your son." The Master's countenance shone like a sun with every word He uttered. And the Earth shook beneath them. Then He withdrew His consciousness again and all was still. Ananda, writing from the Inner Annals 7 July 1993 Beware of psychism that is in reality an expression of the desires and the dreams of the "psychic", mostly impurified. To be psychic with impartiality and knowledge of the divine takes many lives of training and studying. Many lives of purifying the lower self are needed. The bodies must be shining with the light of purity, the chakras likewise. Many people exhibit some psychic abilities, but because those people have not yet learned to purify the mind and therefore do not work through a colourless emotional or mental body, the psychic abilities cannot be trusted, and must in most cases be discarded as non-trustworthy materials. I am here not talking about flashes of psychic vision or feeling through which people are warned of disasters or visited by a newly deceased relative. These can be very correct. No, I am talking about so-called psychics who work through the lower self and the lower chakras where no Higher Self comes into action as intuition, and who are certain that everything they see, perceive, and feel is 100 percent correct. The power of discrimination is not put to use. Neither may this power be really active in the person who thinks that everything experienced comes from the highest source, the highest teachers, and who therefore may not understand that most of the materials seen and felt come from his own impurified inner and his own unredeemed personalities of the past and the present. He may not understand that the voice he takes as God's voice or the guide's voice may in fact be his own personality voice telling him what he wants to hear, or joking spirits who get a thrill out of making a person believe in a lot of nonsense and straightforward low astral rubbish to further their own pleasure at the cost of his confusion and naïveté and ignorance of the Law and of Theosophy. People want so much to be looked up to, to be famous for their abilities, to be revered for their messages; but if we look closely, most clairvoyants are only self-professed, their "psychic" abilities being self-induced by their need for glamour and illusion of self. The world is much a world of make-believe, and the citizens of the Earth, entertainers in the circus. There is so much suffering that people, to survive all the traumas of living, make themselves believe anything, even totally irrational things, to bear themselves and life. But the day comes when people only want the Truth and will conquer the glamours and illusion which hinder the Truth in being known. That day has come to some and will come to more. That is the Law. It is now for you to decide what you want, Truth or phenomena. Choose wisely. Ananda 8 July 1993 Why are we feeling so lonely and so at a loss at times, even when surrounded by people? And suddenly this feeling of loneliness and even of grief descends upon us without any forewarning, and we end up feeling, if only for a moment, depressed and filled with a sense of hopelessness, and sometimes even disturbed by a nameless fear that shakes our very foundation. There are several reasons. Let me state some of them. First of all, we may remember that we live on the mercy of God, though the remembrance does not present itself in the daily consciousness, but only surfaces for a short time in the emotional body as a still half-suppressed memory. We do not know how long each embodiment will be. Most do not know the difficulties the embodiment may present on behalf of the Law of Karma. But all of a sudden from the hidden memory bank, old memories come into the astral body; and depending upon what they are, they give off certain feelings that for a short while seem to overwhelm the daily consciousness with loneliness, grief, sadness, hopelessness, depression, and sometimes also with fear. What are we re-experiencing? This can only be seen and fully experienced by the few who possess the ability to have the energy manifest in images. Secondly: Why do we have these recurring energy manifestations of old experiences and traumas? They are reminding us of many things, such as our mortality; our frailty; that we need to change for the better, and if not, several of those old traumatic experiences must be relived; that our reason for being here must be found; that other souls are depending upon our positive development and comprehension of life and its many possibilities and goals; that our debts must be cleared, repaid. When the time comes, our past will be revealed to us; and if we learn and accept our past with impersonality, with true regret for actions ill-performed, and with the invocation of the Law of Forgiveness; if we study mistakes made in the light of the Law, and then discard guilt and anger towards self, these feelings will be less strong and in the end, disappear. Thirdly: Beloved ones lost is something we do not forget though we return in other lives. We bring the grief with us from deep-seated unresolved emotion. Only very new souls as yet have no such memories to create problems. The more embodiments, the more problems these old memories may create in the personality, for by then the Soul is more developed and connects if possible with the personality, also sending into it memory matter. Fourthly: Guilt has the knack of reappearing to cause havoc in the emotional body. Fifthly: A certain scene, word, smell, sentence, appearance may make old incidents involving any of these come to the surface, and what follows is a feeling or image that may cause distress or joy. The subject is inexhaustible. Let me finish by saying: Know self to free self, for self to become Self. Ananda 9 July 1993 Is there any better way to serve Master than to do it in the world that needs love, true love, so much? How can we serve in order to fulfil our duties to Master and the Wisdom? By going out there to cook, to clean, to manage, to heal, to bake, to sell the best items according to the Law of Right Livelihood, to nurse, to be what He desires us to be, children of His Heart in every way possible. Work at what you are best suited at doing, and do it for Maitreya with joy, with perseverance, with right effort, and with faith in Him. What is it I am looking for in you which I am not yet finding in sufficient degree? Let me try to put into words what I am looking for in the would-be Children of the Heart:
Then if you do all this, you may call yourself a Child of the Heart, and know that you walk the Way of the Heart towards Maitreya the Sun King and the Lord Jesus – the New Jerusalem. Ananda |
19 July 1993
You must overcome your resistance harboured against your Soul and the great Light. You must face your dharma with stoicism, for it is yours, created by your actions in former lives, and it contains the lessons you need to learn to progress in your soul evolution. In one embodiment you will go through several periods of physical, emotional, and mental hardships. You can make these periods difficult or manageable by your cooperation and your willingness to learn from them. How do you think a Soul and its personality becomes an Adept: by laziness and over-indulgence, or by hard work and one-pointedness? It is so easy once the personality, with the help of the Soul, has conquered the five kingdoms, but what happens before this? Agony and pain interlaced with some joy and happiness, that is what happens; and without love and courage, you will never make it. You must make your own decision: Will you be overcome by self or will you conquer self? I speak to you as one who has had great resistance, great pain in learning to live with the dharma, anger at failing, joyful in loving others and Master. There is no easy way towards Adeptship. There are no shortcuts, no jumping any steps on the ladder. There are, however, a lot of decisions to be made and a lot of regrets in having made wrong ones. But each turn taken brings you closer to God and to your Soul; and in the end you have learned enough to stand victor – and then the fifth kingdom (of Soul) is taken by storm. The more you approach initiateship and Adeptship, the more difficult becomes the Path. Unbearable anguish and long periods of "darkness" and "blindness" become your life. Here you must never give in or give up. Here you must become utterly faceless and unselfish to survive. To all of you who approach the Way of the Heart, will you be that for Master? Then to you I will rend asunder the veil of illusion. Maitreya 22 July 1993 What is electric light and warmth but a manifestation of the light and radiant sun power which fill the inner levels with divine warmth? Our Souls are pure Light. Our personality vehicles leave much to be desired concerning pure Light. The Earth's physical level radiates anything but that Light except in a few holy places which have been consecrated by the Masters in ages past or in the present time by the Lord Maitreya, Who seeks to create foci of healing on the Earth – healing according to His Law and the Will of God most loving. What must we learn to become the Light in our physical life form? We must learn (1) right thought, and (2) right action. Who of you are willing to control your thoughts, to think the right thought that brings right action? Will you make the superhuman effort it is to bring holiness into your mind? Will you decide to not let fear and doubt cloud your mind and your horizons? Will you give the Lord Maitreya a chance to redeem you? If you say yes to all this then you will soon notice a great difference in your way of thinking and feeling. But promise Me that you will contemplate the answer well before you make your commitment. Maitreya 23 July 1993 People may think that the word "dishonesty" is only associated with stealing from others, or with lying to others in order to preserve the mask of the personality's privacy or ambitions. One may not consider lying to oneself as a dishonest action or quality, nor lying to one's guru dishonest, if it is seen as more important to preserve one's life in the materialistic world than to live a holy life in both the physical world and the spiritual world, thus living in honesty with God. Most people have no idea of what honesty is all about, and therefore consider dishonesty to be just a way of life. Dishonesty and disloyalty often go together. For if you have not learned honesty, neither will you have learned loyalty. To walk towards the Path requires that you have learned both qualities and that you live them. Without any effort displayed on your part, you have become honest towards yourself and others and loyal towards your ideals, your guru, the cause. Then I find out that so many disciples who have entered onto the Path do not know the meaning of either virtue/quality. Along the way the shadow has become too strong, too overpowering. Why? Ambitions. The need for power, for self-gratification, for being successful on the physical plane in the eyes of men has destroyed them. No longer do they preserve the ideals of youth or bygone ages and lives, but they have become as superficial and artificial as the rest of humanity, who still live in their glamours and illusions. The disciples have again become impurified of mind and are filled with dreams that are neither holy nor idealistic. It is as if they have forgotten the Lord Christ and His Teaching and now only exist for themselves, their promises to Christ forgotten in their constant striving for money, sex, and power. Long forgotten are the ideals that in former lives they have died to uphold. Long forgotten is the desire to unite with God and become a Child of God, true to Him-Her in all ways. Honesty and loyalty are not appreciated qualities, lived up to because through them you honour and glorify God and the Sons and Daughters. Yet if you do not wish to honour and glorify God, what spiritual life is there? What goals and purposes are there then to live a holy life? Would it not be wonderful if you, humanity, could learn from the true disciples how beautiful it is to live with honesty and with utmost loyalty to yourself, your ideals, and to the Lord of all Lords, Christ, our Teacher. Ananda 29 July 1993 It is through the power of Love that this Earth, this planet, evolves. Without that Love, the Earth would die as the oceans solidified, the trees rotted, and all green turned to grey, to dust. And who is it that sends that Love into action? None other than the Solar Logos and His-Her Great Sons, the Buddha and the Christ, with Their Loving Mothers, Brothers, and Sisters keeping the Light of good always in balance and harmony. Thus They protect the souls with Their unending Love and support, to enable the evolution to take place for the great Solar Logos, Whose Love is constant and always at work, always felt through the Hierarchy of the Earth. Love of the Logos has kept this planet intact through millions of years of gross abuse of the forces of materialism and matter. Without that Love, no Soul's expression could ever be forgiven its trespasses against God. It is that Love that the Lord Maitreya now embodies for all of humanity. It is that Love which will speed up evolution to allow the Children of the Heart to live on this Earth reborn, in peace and tranquillity. And everyone who responds to that Love shall in fact respond to the Call of Christ, Who now calls His children from all corners of the Earth into positive action, for many of them shall be the messengers, the healers, the politicians, the teachers of God who shall pour the wisdom onto the Earth to give it the holy life into all its layers of existence. The Love of the Logos is felt through the Lord Maitreya, His-Her Son, Who has been given the Earth in more ways than one. And through His Grace and Mercy, tears and blood, the Earth shall commence upon its great transformation that shall lead it from unholy life to holy life, from being populated by an evil and good humanity to a solely good humanity from whose mind only the Law and Order of God shall manifest as the Kingdom of God slowly makes itself known on Earth. The Lord Maitreya and His Hierarchy, also called the Church Universal, is that Kingdom of God which cannot manifest on Earth's physical levels until evil has been uprooted, until the evil has no more power. To realise all this, a number of Souls must in their physical expressions sacrifice all self and bravely combat the evil winds that shall try to blow them to pieces, and the evil tongues which shall try to destroy all their resolution. Ananda [Continued on 4 August 1993] |
3 August 1993 Why is it that spiritually advanced people have such great difficulties with thinking in group awareness, group consciousness, and group welfare? Because, although somewhat spiritually advanced, they still think of themselves as individuals, caring for their own needs more than the needs of the group. The emphasis is still on the self rather than the Self and the group. The Hierarchy, with the Lord of the Hierarchy as the Teacher, teaches constantly that in this Age of Maitreya emphasis is on the group and not on personalities – on Souls acting for the betterment of all. Our redemption lies in sacrificing self for the welfare, development, and work of the group, whether small or large, whose intention is goodwill and peace to all, no matter who or what. When groups are living in such a united consciousness, the Lord Christ can solve the problems of Earth easily and triumph over the darkness. The more groups that discard their personal needs and feelings for the greater feelings of impersonal good, the quicker the effects of the Lord Christ's work shall be felt. It is all a matter of love. Love Him before you love anyone else. Love Maitreya, and you will find out that you love God and all the souls on Earth and beyond it. Love so much that it becomes all important to serve Him in any way required of you. And in that service all your past and your karma will be neutralised in the fire of that love, and you will become a free soul, no longer slave to others, to the planet, to your personality, but free in Him, to serve Him in all of Cosmos. Ananda 4 August 1993 So many people use the word "love" without understanding the true meaning of the word and without understanding that their way of loving has very little to do with the quality of Love which the Lord Maitreya embodies. When the Lord Maitreya is described as the Lord of Love, it should then be understood that the Lord Maitreya embodies and emanates the Love, the Second Aspect of the trinity of the Logos, to all of humanity and into all of the Earth. He represents the Love of God, Who, as our loving parents, seek to protect us and nurture us by surrounding us with that Love. However, every human being must try to open to that Love by wanting it; this may be done by performing loving actions in the name of God or Lord Maitreya. That Love is totally impersonal. The Love is given without discrimination, without judgement to all, even though the Love is not reciprocated for many lives by the child who receives it. The need for love is great in humanity. But most of humanity mistake love to be the feeling of lust and sexuality which they hunger for daily. The need for comfort is great. Most of humanity try to get comforted by sexual activities. These activities usually lack the quality of higher love; and this is the reason for the feeling of emptiness from sexual activities, through which very few people experience some kind of true love. People feel empty before embarking upon sexual activities. They often feel even more empty afterwards. The void within which should have been filled with love is even more screamingly empty when sexual activities which lead to receiving lower energies of lust and self gratification do not lead to inner fulfilment. Such inner fulfilment is known by people who are true celibates and who live from feelings of love and ecstasy which come directly from the Heart of God; or it is the fulfilment known by people who attract to them the right partner in life, the partner given by God and with whom the same purposes and goals in life are shared, with whom some kind of spiritual life is lived. It is a fact that sexual activities can bring destruction and dreadful unhappiness as well as they can bring glorious fulfilment and happiness. What determines which love you will attract? Your personal karma. How you behave in each life morally and ethically, both as an individual and as a partner in marriage or in a relationship, determines the pattern of the coming embodiments for relationships between family members, lovers, and working group. A Theosophist knows that, and consequently strives by healthy living and right efforts to create a better, more loving life in the next embodiments. It is you and no one but you who create your present and future lives. It is your decisions which make for future unhappiness or happiness. The more you comprehend the wisdom of right action, thought, and feeling, the more you can look forward to the rewards of good health, of good relationships, good interactions with people you meet along the way, and, what is more important, a good teacher to guide your path. Do not be afraid to love your neighbour and yourself, but love as the Christ would love all within the Laws of Balance and Harmony, without expecting anything in return, and your life will then be the fulfilling experience you dream for it to be. Ananda 9 August 1993 For those who walk the Way of the Heart I shall separate the waters to bring them in safety to the shore of Righteousness. Those who keep My Law I shall bring closer to Heaven, where My clouds of protection shall cover them. There the drops of rain become drops of dew that shall purify them by the health-giving substance of the pure heart, which may be seen in the clear waters of My Spirit. I say to you who wish to walk the Way of the Heart that you must want purity, and you must crave spirit as you would crave water if you were thirsting and food if you were starving. You must want to be with the Lord Maitreya and to sit at His feet as much as a drowning man needs air to survive in his body of flesh. You must want to live by My spiritual discipline so much that living the discipline becomes the solution to all your problems. You must scream so loud for mercy that your voice becomes hoarse, and for a moment you must stop to catch your breath and regain the voice. The healing of the self you must practice, healing the mind, for the self to be redeemed and to feel the presence of the Higher Self. I wish I could take your pain away, Mother Earth, but your children are forsaking God, and their deepest pleasures they find in sexual activities and in disobedience to the Law. Every day I scan the Earth with My eyes and with My mind apparatus to see whether humanity has made the decision to progress on the right-hand path or whether humanity still feels attracted to walk towards the left, as they insist on remaining conscious in the lowest nature even though We have opened the door to their higher nature, allowing millions of souls to take the leap into spiritual life. What is it that We see? That instead of taking the offer of the leap, their desires and their actions make them fall into the bowels of the Earth. They fall into utter darkness where there is no glimmer of hope in the near future for the fallen ones to rise again and take the leap that hastened evolution has now offered to the millions – millions who should have been prepared, but who show Us they are not so prepared. Resistance to growth is a known resistance. It preserves for the resistant person the glamours and illusions of materialistic life. This planet, this world will be undergoing a new process and will live then through the death of glamour and illusion. When some of those glamours and illusions lift, the world shall cease to be a place that satisfies its never-satiated inhabitants. The voices that constantly clamour for the beast in them to be satisfied will voluntarily leave the planet. But first they will, out of deprivation, attack their neighbours and try to bring them into the despair of they who suffer greatly. The inhabitants of the Earth will divide themselves into two groups, the one group which wishes to preserve the old order, the old way of life, and the other group which will lean towards the new order and the new way of life. The latter group will be a minority and will come to the understanding that only in believing and knowing the Lord Maitreya and only by supporting His Law and Principles will order be restored, for the understanding of the few will "outnumber" the many who wish to preserve their selfish lives on Earth. The Hierarchy, the Government of the Light, shall then prove to stand victorious and triumph over darkness, and the Brotherhood of Darkness must leave the planet, thus giving way totally to the Brotherhood of Light Who shall bring the Kingdom of God to the physical plane and awaken in all mankind the true values in all aspects of life. All human beings with the mark of Cain on their forehead shall be transferred to a world that is similar to what Earth was like several thousands of years ago, there to learn the valuable lessons which the remaining part of humanity has learned over the last thousands of years. Humanity is in the throes of death pain. The ones who will surrender the will of the personality to the Will of God will return to life on planet Earth. The ones who will not surrender will not return, and when the voices of lies and dissent have ceased, who shall appear as a shining star – none other than the Lord of the Hierarchy, the Lord Maitreya. He brings into this New Age of His a world that is in contrast to our disease-ridden world, where old age and premature death shall be a thing of the past, and where every lip shall pray that the conditions which reign on Earth shall spread to all planets that live in misery as the Earth once did, and that Earth shall become the star that illuminates the whole solar system. The day that the Lord Maitreya fulfils His dharma, the day when the Queen of Earth reigns supreme, that day is far ahead; but the wheels have been set in motion, the Plan implanted in the Divine Watcher. Throughout this entire period I shall be with you. I Am the Avatar of Synthesis 15 August 1993 Disillusionment is a great danger to your peace of mind. Disillusionment comes when people want to worship a human being or an ideal instead of what is more logical, to worship God. People have a tendency to want to put other people on a pedestal and look upon them as near-Gods. When they then discover that the people they placed on the pedestal are only that – people with human frailties and defects like everyone else – the disappointment causes disenchantment and disillusion, qualities which are detrimental to spiritual growth. Why are people constantly seeking something or someone to admire when they should in fact admire only God and His-Her true children, the Masters? Because so often they find so little to admire about themselves and need someone or something tangible to look up to. God is invisible and must be found within all living objects, all souls. Many have the greatest difficulty finding God, not to mention understanding God's Ways, if they are not practising Theosophists. So they transfer their worship, their adoration, to often worthless objects and non-deserving human beings, forgetting God in their adulation of people of the flesh, people who often do not display any higher virtues or any spirit at all, people who openly admit that their God, their purpose in life, is pure and selfish materialism, power, money, and sexual activities. All three complexes are running rampant within the bodies of the personality. People on Earth have always worshipped idols and people who exhibit qualities, talents, or behaviour which they would have liked themselves to have, to possess, to show in some way. It is proper to admire people who exhibit purity of heart and of motives, who show great will to combat the odds of life, who show great restraint in the three complexes of power, money, and sexual activities, and who show their love for God in many ways. But who is it that most people today worship? Artists with great personal flaws, high powered business men and women with criminal intent, and preachers who are fooling with people's faith and ignorance – in short, the evil principle is being admired and worshipped, not God Who is Will, Love, and Wisdom without end. The evil principle which manifests as greed, lust, jealousy, deceit, and more is highly placed in humanity's heart and worshipped all over the planet as God. And when the Law of Karma returns the evil intent of people in the form of death and destruction, God, not evil, is hated and misunderstood. And the receivers of their own evil outpourings lean even more closely onto the Prince of the Shadows, the Lord of Darkness, and uphold even more His principles which lead towards involution and not evolution, in the hope of rejoining a "good life". And what is a good life to people? Money as much as they can get. Power unlimited. Sexual activities without any thought of consequences for the self. Being able to cheat, to lie, to fool, to swindle, and to kill their fellow human beings without any repercussions following these actions – their actions which have by now nearly destroyed the ecological balance of the Earth and nearly destroyed any hope of a future for billions of souls on Earth. Is this a good life? There must be more to life than giving way to evil without any fear, without any discrimination, without any conscience. And there is. There are those who base their life on the higher values, on the Divine Principles, but they are few, and not well liked by the major part of humanity. For they are the bad conscience of humanity – the mirror of truth held before humanity, the Love that God has for His-Her children. They are a constant challenge between right and wrong, and humanity rages against them. These people are linked together in several groups depending upon Soul initiation, goodwill in the personality self, and right efforts made. But however admirable some of these people may be, they should not be looked to for the salvation of the human race. People must save, redeem themselves, in the Christ Spirit. The people who serve the Christed One have taught this truth often, but few have understood the teachings brought forth from those who teach for Christ, and so the major part of humanity still believe that redemption will come from an outer source. Redemption, self transformation, and illumination are brought forth by right efforts made by the lower and the higher self, sometimes in cooperation, sometimes not. No other human being is involved, except sometimes one who may be a vehicle for Spirit and is used to promote healing or self knowledge in a person. And if you truly understand that you are your own saviour and Christ your Wayshower, your Teacher, then no more will you be disillusioned by petty personalities, but be happy in this realisation that shall bring you beyond all personality life and its traumatic effects upon you. Ananda 18 August 1993 As a parent, you must focus on your child or children's education and give it a lot of attention, planning, and organisation. Remember how important education is, not only for the present life, but for lives to come. Everything which is learned is taken with you into all lives and will be utilised in the building process of the inner bodies and of the mind. A parent, if single, or parents must see to it that their children are well educated, whether it is a trade or a degree at university. The child must be made to understand the importance of a good education. A good education is worth more than an inheritance of money or objects. What is learned and what is known will give the individual the opportunity to support him- or herself and to mature, based upon the responsibility such an education gives one to become a reasoning and sensible individual. A good education is a most valuable tool. In regard to religious or spiritual upbringing: Whether you bring your child up as a good Christian, Jew, Buddhist, and so forth, does not matter, as long as the child learns the right values of right human relations to give the child strength, courage, goodwill, kindness, and love to bring with him or her into life. Some more highly developed souls may be very difficult as small children, but later on they become mature and enlightened individuals. Lesser developed souls may also be very difficult as small children. This is caused by an often difficult karmic pattern which will teach them certain lessons that will enable them to become human beings with a certain understanding of life. In the more highly developed souls, the small children often suffer from nervous conditions, such as being "highly strung", and traumas from subconsciously remembering a great number of traumatic deaths and other serious experiences. They often incarnate with many fears and need to be reassured and shown much patience, and given very much support. They are much more sensitive than the lesser developed souls and are often psychic. The less developed souls can take a lot of discipline and hardships. The more highly developed souls feel a constant suffering in their inner levels and will collapse if too much discipline is used, or many hardships come their way from it. The Hierarchy believes in a tolerant and "wide horizon" upbringing of children. As adults, our children will know where they belong spiritually. The less indoctrination, the better the effects the Light of Maitreya will have on them. Every person must choose for him- or herself what spiritual path to walk. The parent or parents must show a good example of the spiritual path they walk, and the child will be happy and secure in the joy of the parent/s. We must not expect our children to like what we like. Some will become Maitreya Theosophists, most will not. Indoctrination gives severe results in the long run, for example, behavioural problems and mis-comprehension of religion or God. Show the children how you are being transformed by the path you have chosen, and let them choose for themselves their given path. Children will always blame the parents for what they are pressured into doing or believing. In the Age of Maitreya it is good to believe in good, which is God, and in being an honest and trustworthy human being who seeks the truth in all things. The more highly developed the soul is, the more incarnations there have been in many diverse religions; such a person is usually born with love for God and Truth, and knows Self to be universal in faith and in thought. A more highly developed soul is born with knowledge and must be free to choose for itself without outer pressure. A less developed soul must learn by being told and by experiencing on the outer plane the discipline of a particular system. Do not mistake my words and think that more highly developed souls do not need discipline; it is just that a more highly developed soul knows the discipline from within and lives by it naturally. A more highly developed soul is born with a comprehension of the higher order, law and nature of all things, and that comprehension is further enhanced by living further lives. A less developed soul does not have this inner comprehension and must meticulously learn and experience until the inner lives what has been learned and experienced. Education in each life is therefore of a religious nature and of the need to learn to support oneself financially. To be a good housewife is an extraordinarily good education and must be looked upon as such. Everything learned well is of good. Sloppy and careless work gives no learning worth remembering and will give no points in the Akashic Record. Do everything well, no matter what task given; do the task thoroughly and with great consideration; do it for God. No work, no task, is too menial or degrading if it is a work or task that will teach the performer something valuable. There are, however, certain kinds of employment which are not considered right when a person is on the Path. These are the selling of meat, alcohol, cigarettes, prostitution, and so forth – in short anything that is not of good to humanity. In all business dealings be honest and helpful. Whatever profession you choose, be your very best, and you will attract the Light and consequently your teacher. In each life, specify your reason for living, and give yourself a wholesome ideal. Work hard at creating yourself into a human being who you can respect. Live up to your own ideals, and you will leave the incarnation a happy and content person. Mistakes are made due to ignorance and impulsive actions. You can minimise your mistakes by acting out of unselfishness and thinking before you act. The fewer mistakes made, the better the record of karmic debts will be, and that means freeing the soul from earthly bondage – meaning that you will be walking the Path as a higher initiate who moves rapidly towards Adeptship. To send your children out into the world without a good education is the same as sending them naked into the world. Ananda 26 August 1993 What is a true guru, and what are the duties of such a guru to the Earth, to the guru of the guru, to the spiritual children of the guru, and to the guru him- or herself? The true guru is a soul whose Soul and physical expression give out a high vibration of Light and Spirit. This involves higher initiation. There are true gurus initiated in Soul and body who radiate a high source of Being and Presence to the extent of lifting their environment and the people in this environment to a higher level of vibration. The environment changes atmosphere and appearance slowly but surely, and in time the surroundings become a holy and sacred place on Earth and for the people living in it. The radiation, the light of the guru, nourishes Soul life in all Souls and nourishes physical life in bodies, animals, and plants. The etheric energy of the environment is nourished to such an extent that over time the environment will become a strong focus for healing and peace. Many will be those who seek that place for healing and spiritual development, and who seek that guru for the teaching that enlightens and makes a soothing balm to the stressful nervous conditions of those who are starting to move towards the Path or who already walk it. The duties of a guru vary, and depend upon the work of the guru. Some gurus work mainly for their children's enlightenment, but in that work radiate their special light onto Earth. Other gurus, though not many, are more actively involved in Earth healing and Earth changes, and have less time to spend in the teaching of a small number of children. Some gurus, very few, become so busy with Earth duties that they have to retire from the outer plane. They still function as a guru to a certain number of children; however, physical appearances are scarce. The inner work in the children just becomes stronger than the outer work, which the children shall in fact be happy about, for the results are good and rewarding. Never put too much emphasis on exoteric endeavours, for the esoteric endeavours are much more permanent and spiritualising – the Soul more actively involved, and the physical expression more rapidly transformed. However, a balance between exoteric and esoteric endeavours must be found. The guru will see to it that balance in himself (or herself) influences the children so that they come to live in balance. Therefore, a physical meeting with the guru is good and nourishing, but an inner meeting with the guru usually has more lasting effects in Soul and mind. Both are necessary, but the physical meetings must give way to the inner meetings; and one day there are only inner meetings between them, when guru is Master and child is a disciple. The Path is long, although shorter than most know. It is up to the guru to make the Path known and at least partly understood to the children who approach it and to those who may have started to walk it without knowing so. It is the duty of the guru to help the child move through the worlds of glamour and illusion to the worlds of truth and wisdom. This is done through a certain number of incarnations. It is the duty of the guru to reveal to the child his or her true inner and outer nature and to teach the principles of the Divine Wisdom to illumine the mind and later the heart of the child. It is the duty of the guru to assist the child in merging with the Soul and the Spirit self and be to the child a true Mother or Father for God and Christ, until the child becomes a higher initiate who then becomes so God-aligned to know sufficiently how to stand on his or her own feet. The guru, now Master Guru, is still and will always be the guru – one of them – to assist the disciple, now initiate (later Master), in the development of Soul and Spirit. Every guru has, apart from several Master gurus, the great Christ as the Teacher of All Men and Angels above him or her. It is the duty of the guru to know this and to surrender to the Christ through the offering up his or her body and Soul to the Christ, so knowing that all power, honour, and glory are God's, and that they are given through the wisdom and love of the Christ. The guru may have certain abilities, energies, and talents of Soul, but without the Christ, the guru has no true life or value, for the guru is given life in the Son, and through the Son meets the Father-Mother in Heaven. The guru must be utterly and selflessly devoted to the Lord Christ's cause for Earth and Humanity. Every guru who is an initiate of the third degree or more has a certain duty to the Earth; how this duty works out depends upon the dharma of the guru. A fourth initiated guru usually is given the burden of dealing with world karma, and is therefore either very much working for humanity among humanity or is working solely behind the surface invisibly and may not be known to humanity at all. The duty to self must always be the complete willingness to neutralise karmic debts and to serve in whatever capacity dharma teaches. The guru does not exist for himself or herself but for the benefit of the human race, the Earth, and the higher guru. All tasks assigned are given total commitment, loyalty, and understanding. The longing to work for and meet with the Teacher of All must be overpoweringly strong and the driving power of all actions performed. A true guru is a human being who is half divine, and will make an example of good, righteousness, will, and wisdom to the allotted children. For a human being to be with a true guru is a grace, and it will have numerous effects in the outer and in the inner. Be therefore grateful and absolutely cooperative, loyal, and trustworthy to guru, and thousands of blessings will rain upon you daily. Ananda 30 August 1993 In a time where man's sexual activities are threatening to destroy the Earth and humanity, true love is a rare thing. However, it is to be found here and there among the human family. Can 'ordinary' people feel true love? And what about the disciples of the Hierarchy, do they have it? First of all, true love comes from the heart. The Lord of all Lords – Maitreya – has this love for all of humanity, as well as for the planet. The Masters have it; this does not come as a surprise. Some very saintly persons have it, and they are loved for it. Secondly, to find true love you must get to know the vibration and the sensations of it. If you love God and His-Her Sons and Daughters, you have found it. Then when you discover that you love your father, mother, sister, brother, partner, children, friends, and others from the heart, you get to know it. In a good relationship, whether close family such as father, mother, and so forth, or in a marriage, true love comes from Soul and Spirit, and if you have some of those energies in your heart, there is true love present. No matter what happens between you, that love will carry you through all problems that may arise. In a marriage as well as in other relationships, true love is a gift of God and has to be karmically deserved. With true love between two people, the more physical feelings between the couple may last for a whole lifetime or many of such, not to mention for all eternity. The spirit of true love rejuvenates and revitalises any relationship, but especially a married couple, so that the years may go by, but the love between them is burning like an immortal fire that fills them with ever new and wonderful feelings for each other. There is also something wonderful in the love between two friends – it can be most sacred and divine. So many people profess to love each other, others, the world, and so forth, but when that love reaches its first test, it falls apart, and the love appears not to be love, but empty and meaningless feelings called love in the glamour of ignorance. By using that expression "glamour of ignorance", I mean that many believe they know so much about their feelings (it is also a glamour to feel), but out of ignorance and little knowledge of self they know very little with regard to their feelings, and certainly not when the feelings are called love. Love has become a word devoid of truth in the mouth of the many. To those who truly love, the word is alive and vibrates radiantly when uttered by them. True love can never die. If it is there, it is for good. And even though sexual feelings should be added, true love will always remain pure and give to the sexual activities that energy which saves the activities from becoming low vibrating animalistic activities that feed the baser self and never reach into the higher self of the personality, and thus, of course, not reaching the Higher Self – the Soul – at all. Whenever there is true love, people are affected by it. It has a healing effect, an uplifting effect. It creates good for people and the environment, and it is a joy to observe. To return to my two questions: Yes, "ordinary" people can truly love, but they are few. The disciples? Most of them have never learned about true love, or they must have lost the ability or the feeling in their constant battle for power, money, and sex. So few are those who love truly. It is a great sorrow for our Lord. Ananda |
3 September 1993 Why do we criticise so much? Is it good to do so? No, in most instances, criticism destroys good intentions, good work. To criticise when a person does something which calls for this has its place, but the criticism has then to be explained thoroughly and good directives and advice follow it. Why do we criticise so much, often unintentionally, and do harm to so many people in the process? The answer is self-hatred and frustration. We see ourselves and our own defects, mistakes, and unintentional foolish actions in the actions performed by others. We recognise our negative or ignorant actions in others, and our self-hatred blossoms. This causes us to cut down other people who act out of the same ignorance as we do. Actions such as these then cause us so many problems on Earth that we feel ashamed and have severe difficulties looking other people in the eyes, lest our guilt should be noticed. Our impurified inner self is strong and often overpowers our judgement of matters known and unknown. It is easier to judge others and criticise others than to look at one's own behaviour and thought processes. The emotional body gains a lot of pleasure in being judgemental and intolerant of others, for in so doing, we shift the blame for our own foolishness by making others the culprits. We find it excessively easy to pass by our own threshold and instead pass over others' thresholds with lifted fingers and self-righteous behaviour and attitudes, blaming everyone else for our mistakes and for the mistakes made by humanity. But do we not also belong to humanity, with all humanity's ignorance of the Law and humanity's quick judgement of all? We certainly do. We may have learned something others may still need to learn, but we have not learned everything. Still our personality desires something which causes us to fail ourselves, our promises to Christ, and our good intentions not quite realised as we had dreamt them to be. It takes a person with strength and goodwill to look at him- or herself and see the hidden self in perspective with the higher self of one's personality nature. At this stage we do not mention the Soul, the Higher Self, for we have enough problems with the lower self, which while containing many good qualities, still contains the not-so-good ones, yes, even evil ones. Ponder upon these words until you learn to face yourself with the loving support of the Christed One. There are few "lost souls" on Earth. Ananda IN CLOSING I have seen a future for this Earth that is worth living and working for. It is a future which is already present in the hearts of those who shall carry the vision of it deep within, and who shall separate themselves from the bulk of humanity, and again separate from that part of humanity for whom they shall hold the vision. It is up to that part of humanity who have been invited to stay on Earth to make the future come true as quickly as possible, but still we shall be talking, waiting for at least a thousand years before the dream comes true. For the vision is like a dream, and the dream carries with it the seeds of the Manu which make up the seeds of the new humanity. And so the new life on Earth and the dream shall become a reality when the conditions are right. I have seen a future for this Earth, and when that vision has become part of me, I shall tell it to everyone who cares to listen. Ananda |
