Mercy
03 February 2001 Blessed be those who see righteousness and love in all and everything. Yes - this is the Master Jesus speaking from the retreat in Jordan. Jordan is a small place in the Middle East. Hidden by dunes of sand lies My retreat, more underneath the Earth than on it. From there, I observe all the goings on in the very busy world on the Earth. My message is simple. Take your brother or sister by the hand and show him or her the mercy which is accorded to all living here by the Father and the Mother who live in Heaven. Is it so difficult to have mercy with those who err, and who are unable to forgive themselves? Mercy is an act of compassion. Mercy is neither reward nor can it ever be a follow-up of your expectations of God's grace. Mercy is given when unconditional love exists in you and when this love tries to make good what you feel in your heart. The heart, when pure, is able to feel mercy and give mercy to yourself and others. It is compassion in action, not expecting any return of feelings or favours. Long ago, even I was helpless in the hands of ignorance and then one day I awoke to the fact that I could love, and giving mercy become a consequence of loving. Mercy is God's gift to those who have wronged anyone, even God, and who, because of true remorse, opens the door to the heart to receive mercy, which really is the Law of Forgiveness in action. Mercy frees. Mercy heals. Mercy is eternally giving of forgiveness and should be opened up to always. Guilt is the opposite. Guilt binds, guilt sickens; guilt is unforgiveness and relentless punishment and should therefore be dealt with according to the Law of God which teaches that darkness must give way to light, guilt to mercy. Then Jesus lives in you and your life becomes good. Jesus |
