Maitreya Buddha
Excerpt from a Meditation Service at the Summer School, 05 January 2000 

[In the words below, Ananda is introducing and then guiding a meditation, which leads into transmissions by Lord Maitreya and Lord Gautama.]

When we say 'Maitreya Buddha', the name has two connotations.

​It is both Maitreya, who is a Buddha in His own right, ​but it is also Maitreya overshadowed by Gautama and working with Him. Just like when we say 'Jesus Christ', it is Jesus over-shadowed by Christ, or Jesus also being a Christ initiate.

So when we say 'Maitreya Buddha', it is both.

Now be prepared to meet Maitreya Buddha.
It is that love that descends upon us now, that is ​Maitreya Buddha.
 
In your mind, walk down the Way of the Heart.
​The Lord Gautama and the Lord Maitreya are awaiting you there.


Lord Maitreya speaks:
'I Am Maitreya Buddha. I let you take refuge into My Heart. I let you rest in My Heart. I protect you in My Heart. Children of the Heart, I call you. Do you respond? Then come, Children of the Heart, and rest in My Heart, for there you shall never feel alone but always have communion with Me, your Lord.

Maitreya Buddha I Am.'
 

Lord Gautama speaks:
'I Am the Lord Gautama Buddha. I stand in for the Ancient of Days, the Lord Sanat Kumara, whom I represent in the Hierarchy, for the Lord Sanat Kumara is away most of the time now. He has returned to other jobs.
 
I, the Lord Gautama, bless you. I bless you who walk in the footsteps of My Brother, the Lord Maitreya. In this day, in this age, the Wisdom and the Love, which We represent in both Our ways, come together via Our Hearts and Minds. When My Brother’s Heart merged with My Heart, and His Mind with My Mind, the Earth shifted and the consciousness of many of the population shifted at the same time. This is the age of My Brother.
 
The Earth shall never revert to the planet it was before and because of that, the population, a great part of it, must migrate to other planets, for this planet can only be inhabited now by those who seek to live in the oneness with God, in the oneness with Us.
 
You shall see there shall be effects from this merging. You shall see over the next seven years, effects arise because of this merging.

​If you wish to stay on this planet and continue to work for the betterment of this planet and its population, you must say so, and consciously invoke Us. We wish to hear it from within your heart, not from your lips.
 
If you wish to stay and work with Us, it will become clear from a vibration which shall ascend within you and vibrate within you. That is how We shall recognise the Children of the Heart, of Our Heart. It is due to a vibration - not through lip service; not through prostrations on the floor, on the ground; not through worship of statues, but through the heart and the service given to our smaller children on this planet. In your actions, We shall see your choice. In the love of your heart, We shall see the choice.
 
Nothing in your outer can persuade Us that you wish to stay, except in that lighted temple, your heart. There We shall see the truth. For if you wish to have communion with Us, it is now from heart to Heart, and from unbending your will of the personality to a higher will. That shall illuminate the mind.
 
So no longer are words enough, outer prostrations enough, but only that the light in your hearts develops, admitting Us into them. That is the new way of Ours. The Earth has finished with those who only profess to love through their mouths, but their hearts are full of darkness still. Now it is by sealing the lips and living through the heart that counts. It is a whole new way of working.
 
It is in the silence that you shall meet with Us, and that We can overpower you with Our presence, and empower you to heal this Earth by your example.'
