01. This is a lecture which actually should have been three lectures because you can do one lecture on money, one on sex, and one on power. You can actually spend days and workshops on those topics but I’m going to pull them together and make a short and concentrated lecture hopefully, so we can discuss it after half an hour, which is the way I usually like to teach the best because a lecture style is really not my cup of tea. But, in order for you to put me the right questions, you need to hear something first.

02. Let us start with money first, even though money comes under the third ray department, and should have been spoken up about as the last topic. Let us start with money because money is a topic that relates to everything in humanity. Let us have what the Lord D.K.* says about money. He says, and you’re going to see it in big letters up there on the projector so you remember forever: ‘Love of money is the root of all evil.’

03. But I have changed it into ‘The wrong use of money is the root of all evil’. I think you can actually love money, and it’s not evil if you use it wisely.

04. See, we are creatures of energy, and money, sex and power are energies. We attract money or we don’t attract it. There is a law called the Law of Attraction, and if we have the karma to attract money, we may attract a lot of money to us in a lifetime. And if we have abused money, or not used money wisely, we repel it. The energy doesn’t come to us. We have severe problems all our life getting money enough to support ourselves.

05. Now, money is a fundamental weakness in humanity because the love of money or the need for money – not for positive things of the higher values but for materialistic values and items and things – is caused by desire. Now this desire is the main problem in humanity. The astral body – and this is where we normally live most of the time if we are not disciples, higher disciples or initiates – the astral body wants something all the time. It either wants food or drink, or items, or gold or jewellery, beautiful houses, cars and the astral body very often cannot get enough of owning things. So, if you think that owning one wonderful car, one wonderful house, one wonderful piece of jewellery might do it – no. It creates the desire for more.

06. And when you meet rich people, people who love money and do not always use it correctly, there is that need for more, more, more. They can’t get enough, and that is when it starts becoming a bad energy in your life because while money can be a blessing, it can also be evil - it can be a curse.

07. Many people say ‘Ah let me get, through Tattslotto, one million dollars, and I will use it for this and that, and I’ll be a good human being. I will give to charity’. Give them that million dollars and all the good wishes for everyone are lost in the need to glorify oneself in one way or the other.

08. Let me read to you just a few sentences because the Lord D.K. expresses it, of course, a million times better than I can ever do: ‘Desire demands the satisfaction of sense need – the desire for goods and possessions – the desire for material comfort, for the acquisition and accumulation of things – the desire for power and the supremacy which money alone can give. This desire controls and dominates human thinking. It is the keynote of our modern civilisation. It is also the octopus, which is slowly strangling human life, enterprise, and decency. It is the millstone around the neck of mankind.’

09. Now, I am going to talk about money as one who has had a lot of money on this Earth, and one who has had nothing. And I am aware – I remember lives where I had money. See, in this world, we live in many different worlds. We sit here all of us, and now we sit in the World of Maitreya. We are all in the same world at this moment because we’ve been lifted up by the Lord Maitreya to share His World.

10. But normally we live in different worlds. And when you have a lot of money, you live in a world where money becomes an obsession, and you change into a personality very often which is greedy, very greedy. You have great ambitions but have no thoughts for human beings at all because of not living in the same world as ordinary people, or people who are very poor. It is as if they don’t exist.

11. Rich people live in a world of their own, and there’s not a thought, a feeling for anyone else – except by very few, and those people have the right understanding of money. They give tithing or greater amounts of money to charity or to nations who need help.

12. See, if you learn that the money you own, even the money you make, belongs to God – it’s not yours, it’s not ever yours – and you give a tithing of it to God through any charity, or church or anywhere you feel it’s needed, like a humanitarian organisation, you then live according to the law, and money will come to you as a blessing and not a curse. Because money, and having money, becomes a curse when it changes you from a nice, moral and ethical human being into one who is immoral, unethical and who has changed so much that, instead of living in the light, one has entered into a life of darkness.

13. Money creates problems because if you have a lot of it, and you don’t know how to use it, then you live with darker shadows within yourself where you are even trying to live as if you are immortal. You don’t understand how you can die when you have a lot of money. You don’t understand that you cannot buy good health. You cannot understand that you cannot buy a good relationship, a good marriage. If you notice how rich people live, they have dreadful incarnations.

14. If they give of the money and understand that money is owed to God’s good Mercy and Will, then they actually have good lives. If you learn that, then you will be able to attract money. Say that you have lived lives and you had riches – never shared with anyone. Dreadful incarnations because you thought everyone was after the money. And in this way, you came to mistrust everyone and to be uncomfortable with people, and you actually became a very bad person, often isolating yourself in your own dream castle with your money, and coming to hate your friends, your relatives, and the world outside of it.

15. On this planet Earth, we have a group of people with enormous wealth, and this group of people actually govern this world. It’s not the presidents. It’s not the governments of this world. They, this little group of people, own this planet Earth from a physical standpoint, and they even decide what presidents are saying and doing, and they can actually get them elected.

16. This little group of monied people are not pleasant people, most of them. They don’t work out of goodwill. They work out of possessing, owning and they cannot get enough. I mean, if they could buy other planets, they would do it, to enrich their kingdom, their private kingdoms.

17. But when I hear people say about other people with money, ‘Oh, they’ve got money’ because they haven’t got any, that’s bad. We must never be jealous of people with money or who have the energy of attracting money, because often you, in past lives, have abused the use of money.

18. And that is the problem. What do we see in disciples today? They have excellent skills, and they may have wonderful business acumen, and they may be wonderfully skilled and talented in many ways, but they can’t make money. They can’t attract money because they have abused money. So, the thing for you to do if you are going to attract the energy of money, is to learn to use the energy correctly.

19. Give tithing or give more. If you make more money, you give more, like ten percent – you give ten, you give thirty/forty/fifty percent of your income to where it’s needed. And then, if you could live by that understanding and that law, you would actually, in every life from now on, have all the money you need.

20. There is also another thing about the energy of money. It is said when you live by the Divine Laws, there is an abundance of money, but it may not come to you as money. It may come to you as the riches of the wisdom, the riches of getting friends that you can share life with, who love you and whom you love, and family relations that really love each other, instead of fighting and battling each other.

21. You will see that the riches of the world come your way when you live by the law of how to use the energies correctly. And knowing how I have misspent money in other lifetimes, I can see the karma. I’ve looked at the karma and in this lifetime, I was born with the need, a strong inner urge – a need to give as much money as I could, and really spend it in the work of the Hierarchy. And it’s such a wonderful, wonderful feeling to do it, because it’s like you attract the abundance of talents and wonderful divine skills and abilities at the same time.

22. Now, why people like money so much is it gives power and unfortunately, power is the most difficult complex to overcome. Let’s look at the projector screen here about power. These complexes go together hand-in-hand of course. Money creates power. If you are rich, ‘filthy rich’ as they say in English, you get power in this world. And power actually changes you even more drastically than money, if you don’t use power correctly.

23. Power involves the throat and third eye chakras, and money involves also the same chakras, and some more, strengthened by the seventh ray now manifesting – a will ray with the quality of power, as well as of law and order. We have entered into the seventh ray, and what is the seventh ray the age of? Not only ceremonial work and magic – it is the age of money, because the seventh ray is developing the ability to make money, to attract the energy of money. And the Master R** is actually the Master of finances – on the inner levels, He is not only the Master of Civilisation, He is the Master of finances.

24. If you have any problems with money, and it’s because of karma, and you really want to change that karma, you ask the Master R to send you that Violet Flame, that seventh ray energy, into your problem. And if you then get some money in your hand, and you show the Master of the seventh ray that you can correctly use it, there will be more coming. You can change the karma in the same life you live in. That’s the good news.

25. Also, strengthened by the increase in development of the mental body in many of humanity, which is occurring as part of the evolutionary process, people who can actually create thought-forms – people who are awake in their lower mental body and can utilise the energy of the mental body, can create thought-forms that attract money. That is why people can make a lot of money in a lifetime, they can create the thought-form of a very successful business. And with utilisation of the seventh ray, and communication with the Master R or His disciples, and really, really wanting to give money to proper causes to support the Masters and Their work, you can, in one life, actually attract money.

26. But first of course, there are some years of trial. I always tell this little story. I had a pupil in a School of Healing once, and he had been a very wealthy man. He’s lost all his money. And the computer business with his brothers had been very successful, but it was going downhill, spiralling downwards towards bankruptcy perhaps. And he always talked about winning Tattslotto, the lottery. And I said, ‘Yes – yes,’ I said to him, ‘Tony, you could actually win that million dollars you want so much, but you have to promise to pay ninety percent of that money to God’s work’. He never asked again.

27. I think he understood what his karma was. If it’s very bad you see, you’ve got to give ninety percent of what you receive from a lottery and such things. If you’re given such financial gifts, you have to donate it, or work with it correctly, and ten percent is for your private use. But if you have sort of good karma, and you get a lot of money or gifts, regard thirty percent as yours, seventy percent as God’s.

28. And if you live by that, everything will be fine, and you actually get more. You attract more money.

29. Isn’t it interesting how rich people attract more and more money? It is like sitting on a gold mine, and that mine becomes two mines, three mines, and we – the people with not so much money – we simply attract nothing, except that Spirit interferes and then we‘ll see that karma can change.

*Lord DK: The Lord Dwjal Khul is a profoundly learned Master who works on the second ray of love-wisdom.
